Mai Nakahara (中原麻衣) is one of the most recognizable names in Japanese animation and gaming, having played well over 100 roles in a career spanning two decades. Earlier this year, she set aside some time to discuss her career, focusing on her role as Nagisa Furukawa in CLANNAD.

0:44 - 1:13 I know that she was talking here about voicing Rena. Well Mai... I know that you did all your best to make things scary in Higurashi as terrifying as possible. Especially that voice acting in Tsumihoroboshi-hen, in anime and in Drama CD, for me, it's your best. (Although I saw that Rena's laugh in OG is better than the newer seasons, which are Gou and Sotsu, I still consider and appreciate her retained voice after 14-15 years.)
