I grew up in Berlin and while I love all the outfits in the video, I believe it's more representative of people who moved to Berlin than people who grew up there. "Real' Berliner dress less maximalistic and dark/techno and more low-key. I'd say they still wear interesting things, just a bit more relaxed and effortless and less like they need to stand out or be crazy on purpose (they often just genuinely are crazy :))

yes, i definitely see what you mean! i guess when i'm filming in the streets i try to pick the crazier outfits but if you're actually walking in the city you'll see the difference

omgg I'm from berlin and I loooove ur channel. I was so exited when I saw u uploaded this video!!! These outfits are all so inspiring and they all seem so nice :)) I'd say it's a pretty good representation of what young people in Berlin wear these days. And I also think berlin fashion is expanding a bit more in the colourful direction than it used to these past years and u can definitely see that

Hi from denmark I am going to Berlin on monday so this video was perfect timing for me, love it❤ and also fell like I could relate to a lot of the things they said about "Berlin style" even though I'm not German I fell like its pretty simular in copenhagen.

I lived in Berlin for a month (a couple years ago) and I would say the styles are really diverse. I wear a lot of dark colors normally, but found myself exploring more fun and adventurous lighter accents that I would find at the little markets and shops...I found a cool pink tulle skirt for 7 euros...things like that. Also, I did notice the accessories over there were amazing...cool bags made out of rubber like from the store KWD Berlin. Edgy fun stuff made from recycled materials. Berlin style is fun and adventurous...and effortless. You know how in NYC...you often get a vibe of people trying? In Berlin, fashion happens. It's my favorite city on the planet...I've been 6 times and will be going next year for my birthday as well. (I totally plan to shop til I drop...and eat some amazing food!)

oh oh also! definitely reccomend pao pao bubble tea and a vietnamese restaurant called gotcha - their curry was one of the best meals i've ever had! they have a couple curries (along with other dishes) but ask them what their most popular one is :)

@@maiazine There's a Vietnamese restaurant that is called Good Morning Vietnam and it's in Kreuzberg and it's an absolute fave of mine! I'm vegan...and it has amazing vegan options as well as incredible cocktails!

Hahaha I dress just like Yang with the little adjustments of dying and cropping my clothes. People only focused on clothes but when I was last in berlin I noticed multiple ear and facial piercings are a lot more common and popular and almost always silver accessories. Would have liked to hear about Nora's makeup look!

Real Berliners can hardly afford the rents in the city centre and therefore live in the outskirts, that is the reality. 😢 A 60 year old security man in a museum said this to me.
