It's always good to see a new video from Arctic Retro. It's a sign this is going to be a good day. This poor C64 is going to be an interesting troubleshoot & repair video in the future, I would think. It looks like you'll have to get down to discrete components to get it fully repaired.

no sound with any SID on the C64-II (C64C) is a blown fuse. I bet that also supplies the cassette port. And I wouldn't be surprised if that also gives the 50Hz for the TOD clock in the CIAs. (the CIA-2 being bad is kinda obvious) Yeah, on the older C64s, a blown fuse will result in a dead machine, but the new C64 happily boots and mostly works with that fuse blown.

As for the super PLA, I’m yet to see one that has failed. In fact, I havenever heard about a failed super PLA, unoess the entire board was corroded or similar.

I once had a problem with a led display on a recordplayer. It was giving me 9 9 instead of 33 and 45 rpm. Searched the whole board. Nothing. It appeared to be the 7805 (5v) regulator, giving 8 Volts, and a constant ON to the transistors.

Seems there ist No Power on the Cassette Port. I do Not Like the shortboards, almost every chip is soldered and there is no easy way to get a kernal switcher working...
