Been watching for years, one of the reasons I enjoy the program you put out is the full up front nature you present the products you review. I know this hobby isn't cheap and being honest about what works and what could be better has influenced some things I've purchased. Honest objectivity is still honesty. I'll take that where ever I can get it. It might be a small thing, but another part I think you've done really well is stating if you don't know something. Keep it up. Good luck with the new pup and layer of madness that always brings home!

Do you get any ammo supplied free of charge? Not saying you'd be biased, more about familiarity and consistency. If you're always using the same factory across the board in all tests, it would be an interesting data point.

To me, the important thing is not whether or not the reviewers opinion was influenced by outside sources, it is whether or not they can get out of the way of their own opinion and present information objectively. There are a number of reviewers (not yourself) that may or may not get monetary incentives, but will form an opinion based on their limited experience, then blindly defend that opinion no matter what, and regard further experience or evidence with a great deal of conformation bias. I can form my own opinion. I just need unfiltered information. Also, the puppy is a higher calling than this. I'm good with the delay.

Just recieved my 10" acra rail from JP that was on backorder for about two months. My 419 bipod adaptor will not tighten enough and there is over a 1/16" gap when the adaptor is maxed down. Is there a standard for arca? I love both brands but need to get my platform operational and everyone is at the nra show and cant get answers from jp.

There is a standard for ARCA Swiss and for RRS Dovetail. Not all clamps play nice with all accessories. JP is aware of the issue with their rail spec.

I agree with other comments in that we trust you to be an honest reviewer. Thanks for all of your work in getting us good solid reviews on the many products. I would have liked to have seen a little more promotion of the Atterbury shooting complex range I purchase all of my reloading supplies from them, I don't use the range since I can walk to my back field and shoot my guns but I think the range is a fantastic range worthy of promotion. And VERY good for you and your family on the adoption of a dog in need of a lot of care. And we would like to see a video about your dogs. Thank You.

John, I just purchased Seekins Low Scope Rings. Do i need to lap these rings or are they good to go? Further more, can you list names of scope rings that do not require lapping?

Personally, I'd just like to see ANY of these bigger KZbin channels say something actually sucks. Usually it's something like, "product xyz is good but there are other options available as well but it's not that bad."

I dont see the big deal with disclosures.. normally you can pick up on guys who are pushing certain products after watching them for a little while. Appreciate your open approach though. I'll keep watching!

I just assume that companies loan or give out product to many you tubers as part of their marketing plan, as well as getting feedback to the R&D departments of the manufacturers. I mean, how much money would it take for a KZbinr to ALWAYS own the newest high end rifles, scopes, tripods, doppler radar, chronographs, etc. Especially a gun channel. I also think it's obvious when the reviewer states that they are reviewing a pre production model, or when many reviews of the same product are posted just as it's hitting the market. I'm probably alone with this opinion, but I actually tire of hearing extended disclosures. It's boring for me to watch. I feel like a single sentence is all that is necessary. Such as, "Surgeon just sent us their newest action to test." Or even, "I finally bought my own Surgeon action." I don't think it would affect my own judgement, so I don't project that mindset onto every gear review video I see. I would never lie and say I bought something that was actually a gift, so I don't imagine gear reviewers to lie and deceive either. I know people out there with that kind of low character exist. It's easy to spot, and generally I don't enjoy viewing their channels.

I like really enjoy your videos. BUT, like everyone else on KZbin that "reviews" items. All Recommendations are taken with a grain of salt. Not just you, don't be offended. The usefulness of most videos are for introducing equipment/gear previously unknown. Then the research begins as to it's suitability. Anytime you have gear without a return date, that's equivalent to being paid. Your time is worth something, you provide a service to the shooting community so nobody would begrudge you that. But don't claim open ended use of "donated gear isn't a form of payment.
