Hey, y'all. I just got home from five days in the hospital, hence my absence from the live shows. I got e. coli from something I ate. Zero stars. Would not recommend that experience to anyone. But I am home and recovering so all is well. Looking forward to watching the shows I missed. 8:23 I agree, Mike. The Gators are living rent free in Tennessee's head so Tennessee will overlook those Razorbacks and lose two in a row to Arkansas _and_ Florida. That _was_ what you meant by that, right? 40:17 My favorite punishment was a couple years ago when Cousin Shane had to sing that grand ole Gators fight song. Cmon, now, that was fun to watch and so, _so_ *satisfying.* lol Great show, fellas. Go Gators! 🟠🐊🔵

I wanna go ahead and dispell the "Missou easy schedule" myth. Yes, it is the 16th hardest schedule in the SEC, but it's the 32nd hardest schedule in the nation. NO Big12 team has a harder schedule than Mizzou. 101 teams have easier schedules than Mizzou. Sure, that means Mizzou can't really hold any hope of a playoff spot with only 9 wins. But 10 wins against a top 32 schedule is a pretty high bar to clear and should earn them some consideration
@jmfbizzle
@jmfbizzle 4 ай бұрын
Except MIZ always has a way of getting fd. Remember when KU went in ahead of us? 10-2 with a win over a 7-5 or 8-4 OU, & every other win being over a team with a losing record could be a prob, unless the two losses to A&M & ALA are 3 pt losses.

The odds of Mizzou being undefeated is very very low..... even making the playoffs is gonna be a stretch. Bama, OU, Auburn, A$M and the always tough SC all got a tone of talent and could easily beat us. The over hype by the Press feels almost like a conspiracy to set us up to fail and then mock us.

You don’t lose two NFL caliber CB, 3 starting DT a NFL caliber DE and 2 NFL Caliber OL, and your DC and DE coach and not have some questions marks and holes to fill. I know Drink and his staff brought in some nice TP players and the recruiting class was strong. But even with that each year is new, chemistry has to be built, development has to happen and different unknown variables do arise. To just assume we are going to achieve last years success is ludicrous and short sighted. Is it possible sure but is it a lock? Heck no.
@jmfbizzle
@jmfbizzle 4 ай бұрын
@@ronthecon9772 that's true for every team. ALA lost 59 players through the portal, NFL, & graduation. MIZ lost nobody of consequence through the portal. OU has the lowest returning production in the SEC & 5 new OL, as well as a QB that's started one game & was awful. A&M has almost an entirely new team. As for the NFL guys...every one of them was a 3 star or no star recruit. They coached those guys up & evaluated talent properly. Baker did not assemble his roster, it was already there. On offense we have 78% returning production. OLine we have 3 returning starters, & one returning rotational guy. 56% of the snaps returning. It's important to note that we have Kayden Green the OU starting LT with over 600 snaps last year added. And the SMU All AAC Bryant who had a bunch of offers & visited TT, TCU, WAS, etc. Just about any team would have taken him but he wanted to actually play. He gave up one sack last year. He's a 5th yr guy this year with 29 starts under his belt. Along with Reichart, Walters, Heismeyer & other guys ready to step up. The OLine situation is as good at Mizzou as any other SEC team, & better than most. CBs? I think Norwood is just as good as the guys who left, so is Clarke who was bigger for us than Rakestraw last year who was injured for 5 games. Toriano Pride might be better. McNeil will have a breakout year. The CB room is great. At SAF we're deep with Charleston, Burks, & Johnson all returning. RB obviously we all love Shrader. Honestly though the OLine & run zone scheme, along with having to keep the box empty due to our WRs accounted for a lot of his yards. He was hardly touched until he was 3 or 4 yds past the LOS. We have a ton of young 4 star guys, as well as maybe the top RB in the portal on the team, as well as the app st guy who might be better. WR best in the country. QB top 5 in the country. TE 1 for sure & maybe a 2nd NFL guy. The offense is stacked. The rest of the defense is great as well. Our LBs are better this year. Many are concerned about DL. The defense was highly rotational last year. So most are back. Charleston is back. He was the 2nd leading tackler at 61, the head guy Carlies had 63. Then you have 14 guys with between 25 & 55 tackles. Robinson is gone with his 8.5 sacks, but JWJ is back with his 5, Gaddy with his 4, & 12 guys with 1 or more sacks. 9 ints, 5 of those returning. 13 guys with a FF, most returning including JWJ with 3. Almost every guy on the def started last year or played significant minutes in rotation. Plus we added a bunch of guys like Flag LB MIA, McLellan DL FLA, Young Edge MSU, Smith Edge UGA, Webb .89 DL, Kelly DL GT, Beasley LB MIC, Jacob's LB S.ALA that ALA wanted. Every one of those guys was highly sought after, not some bum low level depth piece. The team is stacked, & will be better this year with an easier schedule. Making the playoffs isn't a stretch. We'll be favored in every game besides @ALA, & a slight underdog @A&M. Your analysis is flawed. The team is stacked with no holes at every position except Kicker & backup QB, who are unknowns. 10-2 is the floor, 16-0 is the ceiling. MIZ!
@ronthecon9772
@ronthecon9772 4 ай бұрын
We have holes at DB, Norwood while serviceable is not at KAD or Rakeshaws level, Pride is a unknown be wasn’t a killer at Clemson and was being phased out hence we got him in the TP. As I said we lost 3 studs at DT and Webb,Gracial,Marshall, are not SEC tested yet and McClellan aTP from Florida was a top notch performer for them either. DE spot has Walker Back outside of that the Freshmen are more than likely a year away from meaningful snaps, Zion Young was marginally productive for Mich. st but not a Robinson, Moore is OK we will see about the GT transfer as well he has bounced around a lot he is a complete who knows. Hicks and Newsome are Solid but now OC can dissect game film and exploit their weakness they are not as physically gifted as Hopper and that can be exposed. We will see about the South Bama LB, Flagg is a solid back up but not a difference maker by any stretch? Safety should be good. You need to stop reading recruiting analysis and press clippings and assuming that that players production will match the hype. On offense you have zero proof Green and Bryant will have smooth transition to the OL or that it will be healthy all season long. Last year it took C-Johnson till mid-season to adjust and M. Johnson was a massive bust! Same goes for RB Noel or Carroll they both could be the Next Peat at Mizzou "all would have could have and should have" but minimal production! You are just blindly accepting that every Transfer portal player and every player on the roster will have the same or better production than the player they are replacing. It very rarely works that way. You don’t have to post all those stats either I have access to them as well. I know them to. But my analysis is based on production as opposed to hype and hope. When you say this teams floor is 10-2 I naturally access you’ve never played or coached a down of football and more than likely blew a tuba in the band. Even with our weak schedule we are a couple of injuries, FIPS, and missed FG away from 6-7 wins. And I’m not even considering the fact that all the new guys might not be as good as the guys they replace production wise if they are not man it could be real rough. If the DB and DT underperform even a slight bit then that is worth 3 losses right there. Your not being realistic at all your just sunshine pumping. Plus you are also acting Like the New DC and DL coach are gonna perform as well as Blake and the Old DE coach. That might well be bust's. It's 50/50 at best they are just a push. Sure we can win 10 games. Jeez we could go undefeated and in my life time of 50+ years for Mizzou statistically this is our best chance ever for that. But it's still a low percentage we will do so.

Mizzou has a SOFT Schedule. And I say they still go 9-3. I ain't drank the Drinkowitz kool-aid just yet. He is a coach who has the ability to foul this season up with a talented roster. So I am leaning toward that scenario in my mind. My Cats got Mizzou off their sked and the SEC replaced them with Texas and Ole Miss. Thanks a LOT.

I keep hearing folks say the SEC will have up to six teams in the CFB playoffs. I don't see how that math works. If you take away the 4 conference winners (assume Georgia is SEC) plus the special needs slot for the JV conferences that leaves you with 7 spots. I assume Notre Dame will also take a spot leaving 6 left. I can't see the committee giving 5 of 6 to the SEC; more likely 3 of the 6 for a total of 4 SEC slots. What if there are upsets in the conference championship games? Say TCU is undefeated and ranked in the top 5 but loses to Ok State in the Big 12 championship; won't both teams make the playoffs? Same thing for Clemson & FSU. There will also be pressure on the committee for TV considerations - they will take a west coast team over a fifth or sixth SEC team in most years. My point is expect more controversy and disappointment. I think the most likely is 4 SEC teams in the playoff.
