Draft Kings had it at 4.5. I love my Gators, and know we aren't the best right now, but surely they can win 5 of those games. only 4 true road games.

My observation: if anyone takes 5 minutes to research UF in recent times you see: McElwain: great HS talent evaluator offensively, horrible offensively with 3 qbs after losing Grier to bs PEDs, carried by Muschamps defensive players, bad S&C program. Mullen: won with McElwain kids. Good recruiter on surface til you exclude players who never made it to campus. Didn’t play best players. Trask saw the field because franks was hurt, not because Mullen thought he was better. AR and Emory same thing. Once McElwains kids were gone in 2021, talent on roster didn’t match. Other coaches anonymously said that was the worst UF team they saw in long time. Napier: has to rebuild the roster and build up culture for sustainability with quality and depth. Look at 2022 team and look at this 2024 team. 24 is better in every facet.

Great show, Mike. Will is awesome. I can't wait to get my Read & Reaction magazine. He is more optimistic than I am but he is talking me into it. For example, 32:56, he says the only difference between Florida and LSU last year was the Heisman quarterback. So, the year before that Jaden Daniels has similar stats to Graham Mertz's _last_ year stats. Does that mean Mertz could have a Heisman breakout season this year? I mean, that's kind of what it sounded like he was saying. 2022 Jaden Daniels and 2023 Graham Mertz stats are very similar. 2023 Daniels wins the Heisman. So, 2024 Mertz should win it. That's what I took from that bit. That's how he's talking me into more optimism. But, knowing Florida, something will happen and they will go 4-8 this season. lol (Under my breath:) Mertz for Heisman. What the hell am I even talking about? Jeez. Awesome Gators video. Thanks for bringing Will on. It was fun to watch.

“HeisMertz” sounds fun but I don’t think we’ll ever see Mertz rush 100 yards in a season let alone a game. Daniels has that factor. Mertz is like a Brady Jr. Good game manager / game IQ. if he rushes 100/yds in a game I will sell all earthly possessions and stop drinking.

A staff from mostly lower level programs is problematic. Top level programs have unique situations to solve !

Miles underestimates the UF WR group. There are talented R/S WRs who can step up. Plus a true freshman WR who is faster than 2023 FR break out WR Wilson who can make plays.

Disagree, not sure you have followed it closely. Texas' strength was defense last year, a ton of turnover on that side of the ball.

@@ThatSECPodcast they will be better at almost every position other than DL. Their DE upgrades will take a lot pressure off the DL to focus containing the run. Much faster in secondary. Overall team defense may surprise you.

Not really. Miles tends to be negative. His UF co host is the positive one. UF will surprise people with National Gatorade player Lagway and better OTs.

UF's secondary will also surprise people. Schedule is brutal but teams who underestimate UF will be in trouble.

Billy has changed the culture...now Gator fans don't seem to mind a 3 win season coming up. People want to keep him around more than one more year. We now have a losing culture at UF, that is how everyone else sees the program.
