It's probably not the best way to do it.

Slip ring. If you had a thick circular pancake of non-conductive material. slice it half along it's side. now you have two pancakes. Pancake 1 (lower). draw 6 different sized circles (that don't touch). coat each circle in copper. so you now have a cunductive track. each track has a wire that goes off to it's connection. on pancake 2 (upper), have 6 springy contacts, spaced the same distance apart as the rings on pancake 1. connecting incoming wires to each of those contacts. now we have the two parts connected and both can spin freely. (obviously the construction needs a non rotating bushing in the center and 'click together' fitment around the outside. done :)

You could try putting an ESP32 device in the faraday pouch to test how well it blocks it from connecting to your network, have it flash an LED when it can't connect.

I love those spinning wire bushing things. I need to pick some of those up. I switched my high power office and garage lights to those fan style things from Costco. I think 2 for $20 or $25 us. I'm really pleased with them. I have low power lights also, but when things get real, it's nice to be able to flick those things on.

A word of warning for those garage lights. When they first showed up for sale, I grabbed a couple of the cheap ones, and boy howdy are they bright. They also swamped the garage door opener receiver, so if the lights were on, I couldn't open or close the door, even if I was in the garage. If you use a garage door opener, check for interference.

I used to service scientific equipment and a 6 pole slip ring cost over $1,000 dollars. The ones that used carbon brushes were serviceable and required lubrication with silver grease, the mercury ones were sealed. Mostly they were used for thermocouples but the odd time 48v, nothing more.

I bought both fan lights in a smaller version. The fan lights last well enough when they are cool white. I prefer warm white, and ordered some of both. All the warm white ones developed black dots in the LEDs and within weeks stopped working because the LED's are in series. Evidently they overdrive the warm ones to produce the same amount of lumens as the cool white, and it's too much. All my cool white ones still work. Very cheap inside. When you open it you may find the wire connecting to the threaded part of the socket has come loose. The electrical connection is a crimp not a solder, nothing special just the standard crimp of the threaded metal onto the plastic with that wire stuck ibetween.

These slip ring contacts are probably useful when building one of these rotating holographic led displays .. so you don't have to spin the battery.. dunno if they can handle the 800 kHz signal for the leds .. I think bigclive has a disassembly video on those.

I've mostly seen people use those for cars that can be started by just having the keys with you and have keyless entry as well. They seem to be effective enough to stop the 433mhz most keys use if they're made properly

You may as well just turn your phone off instead of putting it in that bag. You can't use it in the bag, as you cant see the screen. LOL Also a word of warning, sometimes when products like this say it's anti-radiation, they can have quite high levels of radiation in them.

I would be careful about putting a phone in the bag, specially if it has exposed antenna strips around the edge The only thing i can think of for putting your phone in is if you still want the alarm to wake you Or is it that a phone is never truly turned off (conspiracy theory anyone ? )
