I think the RF handled it just right. They're invited, but not for "official presentations and duties". The public would never stand for it, i.e., having Harry and Markle on the balcony as well as Andrew. I think the Royal family would like Harry and Meghan to grow up, and if they ever do so, would have them back. Not necessarily for their original roles in the UK, but as family. Latest on harkles inviting to attend the platinum jubilee (even though not on balcony): Nonsensical arrangement ...allowing harkles to attend. No wonder poll shows 70% for abolition of monarchy. Queen has not listened to her people. The queen has just killed her own jubilee and her monarchy and made a fool of her own promise to serve the nation and her people - her life objective destroyed. Shame on the queen!!! There is nothing anymore to celebrate!!!! This is different from Andrew's involvement in Prince Philip's memorial. The jubilee celebration is not a family event but a state event. It is not a question of whether they will attend - no one cares - but more a situation of the queen's concern about her people ...quite obviously, she does not care from all her lack of action regarding the harkles ...so the jubilee is pointless, a celebration of nothing, if you get my drift. Very disappointing state of events ........I blame the queen (she could have done something but did not), not the harkles. The monarchy deserves all the bashing that harkles and other anti monarchist give them though sympathesise with william, catherine, anne, edward, sophies, etc. Boo to Charles, too Charles is still trying to please Harry and that's why royal family still no action against harkles ...at the expense of the reputation of the queen, royal family and other hard working royals. Finallt,, there had been discussion that harkles exploring way out for royal family if monarchy abolished, that's why no action has been taken against up to date. Is this really the case? The royal's plans to bring harkles back into the fold (as many had predicted that the curcumstance indicated) seems to confirm it.

It will be changed after Charles becomes Monarch. The plans will be in the process. It is complex. At present the structure is within the legal and royal prescedents set by HMTQ grandfather. I think Charles has already discussed this with his mother and William. It requires some changes to Promogeniture, if Anne and Edward to be included and H and Randy to be removed, as those two are still technically in line of succession. I dont know the total processes, but not simple and straightforward. When Charles becomes king they will definitely need removing and three new Consellors appointed.

Everything about this visit is revealing of H&M's absolute lack of consideration. If they are bringing their mysterious children as to meet their great grandmother, it couldn't be a worse time, as the queen is beset with obligations that she can't even meet...now another demand tossed in!?
