Whats "woke"? The term seems rather loosely applied and is often used to object to people expressing social concerns. Whats woke about MM? I have noted that the term is also frequently (very frequently) used as a sort of dog whistle by racist who can't admit that their true objections to someone are racially motivated so they resort to that term because other bigots know exactly what they mean. When you enquire, it seems ths that most people who use it - Im not implying this the csse with you, please understand - seem to use it in a racial context. Particularly as there seems to be no other rational reason for their hatred- and it does seem to be hatred - of her. After all the RF pretend to be concerned with social issues to a degree (unless they're embarrassing because they reveal hypocrisy), but nonetheless youd think people critical of M would refrain from using the term as it so frequently seems to betray their real motivations. To me she is a completely irrelevant celebrity, but the campaign against her is the only thing that makes her interesting to any degree. "Woke": it seems to me that you can accuse anyone in the limlight of being "woke" if they express an opinion. All it tells you, though, is that you dont like the person. Doesnt really reveal anything about the individual, except that you are looking for any reason you can find to attack them. Its a particularly curious term to use when attacking a critic of the RF - who have a very well established history of racism, both historically and as it applies to the current regime. I would have thought that anyone wishing to credibly discredit MM would have refrained from using such a term as a perjorative as it is so frequently associated with bigoted attitudes that it does not reflect well on the credibility of those who seem to be looking for any reason they can find to express their hatred without revealing their true motives. Again, I want to make sure you understand I am not accusing you of having racist motives, but who really cares? It seems so trivial an issue its hsrdly worth bringing it up in the context of MM, who, after all, is little more than a sort of irrelevant celebrity and would be largerly invisible if not for the constant campaign of charecter assasination waged against her. She married into the RF, after all. Doesnt seem to be a very woke thing to do. Whatever her faults - and marrying in to a demonstrably rscist organisation may be one - none of the accusation againt her seem to be grounded in fact and are demonstrable lies in most instances. As an American, I can honestly say that most Americans simply aren’t very interested in Harry & Meghan. Since they stopped performing royal duties, they are not interesting or relevant. Meghan was never a top famous actress, I’d never heard of her before her marriage to Harry. HE made her interesting solely because of his royal status. But he’s given that up. Sorry to upset most if not all info is second hand gossip that I read on KZbin, etc. My hatred for Meg grows less. I have these considerations on liars, which M is a big one. Beatrice and Eugenie are surplus to requirements for the modern Royal Family. Princess Anne's and Prince Edward's children don't demand status as these two do. It's not the first time that Meghan has had an application rejected. It happened before when a form she submitted to register an enterprise hadn't been completed correctly. You'd think that with the money they spend on lawyers and accountants, something so simple as getting a signature wouldn't be a problem. I can just imagine Markle's reaction to this incompetence.
