It’s like night and day with these dry tasteless one grown all over 5he World , funny part Is that Turkish Pistachios tree don’t or l should say it just can’t survive in any other climate but in south East of Turkiye , called “ Antep Fistigi “ gets its name from the city of GaziAntep . Thankyou for this. If you don't have the electric potato peeler, I have found popping them in the oven at a moderate temp for 12 minutes, helps to soften the out mesocarp skin. Then it is a case of removing by hand. A word of advice, use disposable plastic gloves to do this and a knife as the mesocarp has a sap that oozes into your skin and makes your hands brown ans smelly, which lasts for days. Then do the process as per the video. At the end I roast mine for 40mins in a low oven to really dry them thoroughly. Store in an airtight jar. Check regularly for signs of mould.

America has a number of crops which shouldn’t be grown anymore, except in greenhouses. Pistachio trees require an enormous amount of water. If the farmers had to pay market prices for that water, it wouldn’t be economical. And believe it or not, we’re growing way too much corn. A large portion of our corn crop goes to a Mafia hustle called corn ethanol. We don’t need one drop of corn alcohol. First of all, we have huge reserves of petroleum. And secondly, those corn crops are a form of political blackmail. Congressmen are forced to approve an obviously bad arrangement. It’s crime in broad daylight. This ridiculous purchase of an unneeded commodity is causing water pollution when nitrogen enters out rivers, and then acid rain which kills all the trees in Canada when that nitrogen evaporates. Don’t ask the E.P.A. for any help. The Farm Bureau Mafia runs everything. The corn, the cotton, the rice, and the soybeans are causing incredible ecological damage, but nobody is strong enough to face the U.S.D.A. Mafia. They kill people. So one way or another, we’ve got to stop the Mob from destroying our ground water supplies, and our farms. The best way is to cancel all food exports. If the Mob can’t sell wheat to China, then it’s not worth anything.
