genshin has been a thing for 3+ years now. by 3 years hi3 already released 3 kiana's. although the 2nd one was just slightly different from the 1st one. and a handful of skins. i think genshin needs to overhaul it's gameplay. it's not that difficult since they did so for hi3 with part 2 and bits and pieces through out the years. i think charge attacks should have a unique animation depending on the character and weapons like how hi3 has different weapon skills for each weapons and not just the type of weapon they use.

For example from Mondstadt to Liyue, Traveller became more interested in learning new things, then from Liyue to Inazuma, Traveller decided on keeping themselves out of trouble, which is why Traveller initially refused to help, wanting only to meet Ei and leave, untill they finally got convinces to help, which means that Traveller became more prudent thanks to being manipulated by Signora and Zhongli I'm Liyue. In Sumeru, once again tries to not get involved deeply. But they are forcefully dragged into the events by the Akademia, however Traveller became more proactive now, actually moving to solve the problem themselves and actually reaching the correct conclusion through analysis. By Inazuma, Traveller is not only more prudent, proactive and smart, they won't avoid problema anymore, they will face every challenge head on and remove their obstacles by force, because they are sick of getting dragged to other's problems. So you see, while slow, Traveller has improved a lot

Honkai MC's just be built different, *but no-one tops Kiana.* Absolutely love my girl and still use her as much as possible, her story and growth is just heartbreaking and... well, to put it simply... *beautiful* in such a unique way. (Also why did you feel the need to get my waterworks going with Da Capo 😭) I FINALLY recently got her Herrscher of Flamescion form and it's just so fun to use (also got the new collab skin as well). Unrelated note, but I really hope if we ever meet Kiana's doppelganger in Star Rail that her and Mei get a happy ending. They deserve to be together.

Oh you've missed out on a lot, then. While the main story revolving around the tuna is quite good, they really lost me after the showdown against the Herscherr of Dominance and Otto's exit. In other words, the start was great and we did get a nice swan song for Otto, but then it kinda fell apart after that. Right now the main story feels like a "random bullsh!t go" mish-mash that is, imo, hard to follow. And I really did lose interest after Otto's exit, too. Elysian Realm on the other hand was a beautiful story from start to finish, and it really made me like Elysia far more than Kiana. I still do like her, but Elysia and her story just hits different, man...

They really need to make Traveler's strength in cutscenes reflect in the gameplay. Lorewise they're able to hold off a giant robot, hold off their own against an Archon, beat Signora without breaking a sweat and able to take on multiple soldiers at a time. All of that being done solo, yet it's hard to see him as strong because all the kits are pretty much useless. Compare them with Trailblazer who has good kits but lorewise often requires help. They tried to 1v1 Cocolia and got stabbed as a result, nearly blew up against the Doomsday Beast and was mostly a side character against Phantylia. But you don't see them as weak because gameplay wise they're pretty good.

For me it’s not even because of their kits that they feel weak… Unlike Genshin’s mc, trailblazer’s strength doesn’t fluctuate as much as the traveler’s… Even then, Genshin’s mc is really weak even in lore, since we only managed to fight off most of these feats because of outside help, not without any outside help like Kiana and trailblazer did at times… I think the Scaramouche boss battle was the first scene where they did fight him solo and managed it tho..

Well we really can't compare the Trailblazer to the Travelers. Caelus/Stelle lost their memory and they just woke up randomly and get tagged along. Meanwhile, Traveler is already experienced fighter as they already travel countless worlds. They just lost their powers but not their experience. Although there's a chance if Trailblazer remembers their past memories. Meanwhile, Kiana really started from beginning, from weakling newbie to a goddess.

The thing is each game are very dependent on its play style, HI 3 is very fast pace so there would be lots of combo making the game fun for people who are very agitated, HSR on the other hand is dependent on stats and animation as the game is turn based so people see more on the character attributes and contribution to the team, for Genshin impact…. Well let’s just say it isn’t really necessary to do the MC like that but they did a good job at making the MC strong and reliant in its cutscene at least 👍

Imagine calling HYV's most successful game of all time "cash cow to fuel both games" More money gets spent on Genshin than goes to HI3 and HSR COMBINED, which means Genshin's self-sustaining model is the most successful of all three games. By claiming that Genshin's money is the cash cow that fuels both games, you're just admitting that both other Honkai games are just so shitty that they can't sustain themselves with their own earnings and needs Genshin to bail them out month after month after month. And while HSR is an actually good game that can sustain itself, HI3 is just a shitty game that's dying slowly but surely. Also more people picked Aether than Lumine, and Aether is the canonical MC, so there's that.

The fact that Honkai Star Rail mechanics and updates are the things Genshin players had been asking for years (Resin cap, relic system, and non-rotating farming) and Honkai Impact's updates are always high quality (amazing cinematic and storytelling) are the reasons why people keep calling Genshin as nothing more than Hoyo's cash cow... I like all three games, but it's hard to deny that Genshin is certainly receiving the least amount of love among the three. T only end game content we have in Genshin is Abyss, compared to HSR and Honkai Impact that have 2 or 3 end game contents to play. Then, there's the quality of Genshin's story experience, which is diminishing. While Sumeru's and Fontaine's weren't as bad as Inazuma's, the Archon Quests are now mostly comprised of fillers where all you do is walk and talk, it's no longer that same exciting combination of fighting and dialogues back in Mondstadt. Most of 4.1 Archon quest can literally be removed since the only important bits are the ones near the end. Fillers are good, but too much filler is not.

I think it depends per game on what sections get love, with HSR just being fortunate of being last and benefiting of all the experience they got Hi3 needs a massive overhaul of certain ui elements and the gameplay and maps of older story missions. I played all of Hi3 on pc and was quite sad when I noticed that everything is optimized for mobile, like the cinematics and art being compressed to death that I sometimes can't see shit on my 4k monitor which destroyed some moments, the in-game assets being very low quality for things that just didn't have to be and so much more Not to speak of Mihoyo/Hoyoverse not improving their account system in the last 3+ years. Steam players don't have crossplay in Hi3 and you can't create new profiles and redo everything (in all of their games) for literally no reason.

I hate how in the last version of Genshin, traveler will probably talk more in cutscenes and dialogues and be better than most five stars considering he’ll probably get his powers back. But honestly I kind of understand why he’s so shitty ngl. His real powers were taken away and that made him weaker. While he’s awesome in the cutscenes, literally holding off a giant ass robot and fighting a god, a dragon, and another god, he usually needs help(except for his fight with scaramouche… I think). And in Fontaine cutscenes, he didn’t do shit. While he was just looking around, navia and clorinde was destroying the robots and in the new cutscenes in 4.1 he was… utterly useless. Like how the hell can you almost get blown away by some damn wind, but clorinde, someone who should be weaker than you barely moved an inch?? At that point she just stood there. Like, there are many characters in Genshin that are weaker than traveler but always has better cutscenes and fends off bitches with ease, but you’re telling me Aether who fought a god, no! Three gods! Can’t easily take down a couple of mobs in seconds… at that point HYV doesn’t care about traveler and their power and scaling. They don’t even have a five star animation. While I know that four star animation is suppose to imitate a five star animation, it’s still not it. I really hope HSR protag sees as much development as Kiana did. Because I'd love to have experienced that, but can't just start another gatcha 'just because'. It's super cool to see her evolve as a character and seeing that Imbibtor Lunae exists, clearly they have the systems in place to allow for character evolutions. It feels to me that eventually they will learn how to use the power of the stellaron and that will become like Dendro. I just hope we see them get a cool new look if that happens, since right now their outfit is pretty low-key compared to Kiana's.

Conclusion, almost every Honkai protagonist and even a large majority characters' gameplay do mostly on the story and lore. Because other characters like Mei, Bronya and Seele do also get upgrades because of the story, while the same thing is occurring in Star Rail with Trailblazer and Dan Heng. While in Genshin... it depends mostly on how do you progress on the World because is an Open-World that you mostly have an amount of freedom to explore, yet Aether is currently one of the 5-stars that aren't that good.

Standard HoF is one of my favorite character designs ever, and I felt really disappointed with HoFi (even though I still like her) being so different from it, so I really hope genshin travelers end up getting some cool ass new mechanics like kiana did because holy shit are they plain now, and if hoyo could do something so cool for kiana, they can do it for the travelers too. Even fucking Adam got some new combos in APHO 2 even though he's basically hoyo's black sheep, while the travelers who are their biggest money machine get nothing remarkable.

Been f2p for a while, got Senti, Elysia, herrscher of rebirth Seele and hofi Kiana with just saving. I’d say if you have enough self control, it’s more then doable, the game’s actually really easy and fun to play and survivable as a f2p, I don’t have to chase any meta to be able to play the game☺️
