i can see how it would be exhausting and annoying to play on the feature table. But on the other hand it also provides you with information which would otherwise be unobtainable and so you can adjust your playstyle accordingly.
@philipmorse-fortier54994 ай бұрын
That's true for the top level tournaments where you're facing a bunch of pros and people who you run into a lot, but in the first few days of the main event it's mostly going to be 1-2 name players and a bunch of people that those folks will never see again. So you are revealing some of your strategies to other good players, but not really getting much actionable information.

7:02 Daniel, on T92r solvers go small actually (you don't have a substantial nuts adv but a big range adv so you go small and wide). On the river, T9 is a mandatory call in GTO world, you block aces up and sets, and you beat some value like AQ,AJ. In fact solver either calls or raises. I'm not sure why you made this huge deviation,especially on a tiny river check-raise.
@1ricky773334 ай бұрын
When it comes down to it, Daniel plays old school. IOW, he goes with his gut.
@LMW87MMA4 ай бұрын
the solver assumes an opponent can ever be bluffing. Playing exploitably, his opponent is likely never bluffing here, and all of his value hands beat two pair
@yoniker834 ай бұрын
@@LMW87MMA For a small check-raise on the river, when action is B-C-X-X-X-B-R tiny, yeah plenty of bluffs.
@BowmanHawk4 ай бұрын
I just hate that the guy checks to him on the river. If your not willing to call a raise then you should just check back. The ol value bet fold i guess.
@TheMlghtyJake4 ай бұрын
My analysis: Daniel's board was T32, which uses more small/mid sizings to capitalize on the range advantage, but an overbet can still be mixed in on T32 at low frequency. An overbet would be good here if you think the opponent would fold some hands they're supposed to call with, like 3x, 2x, and low pairs like 55-99 type of hands. On the other hand, T92 boards, use a lot of overbet/large sizings (way more than on T32), because IP has more nutted hands (BB is likely 3betting 99 preflop at some frequency, so we have more sets against them). I think the biggest reason to overbet on T92 is a lot of Daniel's hands will be ahead but are very vulnerable. Think of a hand like JJ - it's going to be ahead of so much of BB's range, but there's a lot of bad turns (any T,9,8,7,6,2 and maybe others). So we want to overbet these spots a lot of the time. Also, betting small on T92 isn't going to get hands like 88-33 to fold, but an overbet likely will. One more thing: Daniel said if you're UTG you can overbet even more, from everything I've seen, it's the opposite. When we're on the BTN v BB, this is where we want to relentlessly overbet, because we have way more weaker hands that benefit from getting folds from overbets, whereas UTG we're playing a tighter range that has way less weak hands that benefit from betting large. Sure, our value might benefit from betting large, but what about all our middling hands, which we have way more of as UTG vs BTN.

Daniel, I’m curious to hear your thoughts on this: The all-time earnings list is a completely irrelevant stat because it doesn’t take into account total buy ins. The best live MTT player should be based on profit, in other words, total earnings minus total buy-ins. for example, if someone had $100 million in earnings, but $110 million in buy-ins, that would make them a losing player yet they would be at the top of the all-time earnings list. Therefore, it's extremely difficult to accurately determine who is the best live MTT tournament player. What do you think would be the best statistic to determine the best tournament players?
