Thank you for your contribution to the name contest on The Bright Side of Mattawa! We couldn't have done it without you! (seriously we had so many names thought up it was sooo tough to decide!)

We thought with all of the response to our first video and all of the pictures we had received that naturally we would do an extended version. Now with all of our information put together we finally have a thorough look at Mattawa's Main Street throughout the years!!

Thanks to all the wonderful people who made this beautiful video possible. I was born and raised in Mattawa but left in 1964. Much of this history I never knew growing up or until I started to follow the site on Facebook. Some of these scenes really stirred up good memories. My heartfelt thanks to those who not only contributed to make this possible but to those who operate the web site and helped put it all together.

chris Alex Thank you so much for your encouragement! I was born and raised here too and i felt the same way! Until we started this history project I thought I knew pretty much everything about Mattawa! lol Just searching for pictures and articles alone has completely changed my perspective. We definitely learn something new everyday ^_^ The Bright Side of Mattawa has really been a big part of everything. Such an incredible group and the best thing is that they're so open to talk about any subject at any time. Truly grateful for everything that has come from this learning experience :D I'm glad we could share it with you all!

Thanks for the memories as I spent many times in Mattawa as I had lots of relatives in the area. My first drink at 16 was with my uncle at the Mattawa House Hotel, lol. I love the town, it's magical in it's own way.

great pics and vids, my mom grew up there last name Franson, she watched this and started naming this and that,, I spent the occasional summer there down by the river fishing and camping at my Uncle's cabin on the Mattawa river, Her family lived on a farm on the outskirts then moved to a house right beside the bowling alley and across from the tracks, lol I remember that train shaking the whole house lolol,, great to see some pics I even recognized,, thank you,,,
