hey quick question, how come the bass doesn't sound the same as on mic recordings of the table? it sounds way punchier and more like a rubber bass in all of the other recordings I've heard. is it just heavy distortion on the table, mic distortion, something else?

I believe the punchier bass is a side effect of the song being played through the machine's speakers most of all, though I'm not completely certain there aren't other factors in play as well.
