I love how in Akira's stage you can see Aoi's stage outside the Dojo, that's one thing I love in videogames when you can see other stages or levels from other stages or levels like how you can see Serpents Cage outside Terror Furnace in Fighting Vipers 2

Aoi and Brad have a rivalry due to the fact Aoi lost to him in the 4th tournament after Brad distracted her with his womanizing charms Lion and Jean Kujo are rivals since Jean has been tasked by Judgement 6 to kill him though they don't realize they were childhood friends Vanessa and Goh are rivals since Vanessa escaped J6 and Goh's been assigned to kill her, Goh also has a rivalry with Jacky since it's implied Jacky beat him in the 4th tournament Lau and Lei Fei are rivals due to the fact Lei Fei tried to kill the aging Koen Ken master while he tried to learn Lau's art he ended up fixing Lau's relationship with Pai after she saved her father. Kage and Shun are rivals after fighting each other in the finals of the fourth tournament but the match was a no contest after Dural (aka Tsukikage, Kage's mother, brainwashed) interupted the tournament. Wolf and El Blaze are rivals though Wolf did have a friendly rivalry with Akira before Wolf started having dreams of an apocalypse caused by J6 though this seemed to have stopped after the fourth tournament, El Blaze enters the 5th tournament because he's jealous of Wolf's success in the heavyweight wrestling division while he finds success in the light heavyweight division, he wants to prove that "Heavyweights are nothing to him" Jeffrey and Taka Arashi are rivals mainly because they're both heavy hitting heavyweights though their reasons for entering the tournaments are different, Taka wants to prove himself against the best while Jeffery wants the prize money to pay for the means to hunt a giant shark called the Devil Shark though in the 5th game the supplemental material tells you that J6 has stolen the Devil Shark and Jeffery wants dibs on it. And you've got Akira who mainly fights to understand what "True fighting" is about and to hone his Bajiquan (Hakkyokou Ken) style

Characters shouldn't be able to do 45% off *one* hit if it's not a command grab or super. 8:27 Akira just looking at her like, "You know you're not supposed to be up there, right?" I'm a Tekken guy, haven't touched a VF since the Saturn, but I do genuinely hope VF can make a proper comeback one day. I'm not optimistic, though, because Sega just finds ways to screw up.

4:01 That move (the bodycheck) has been that way since VF2. The base damage is comically low, but racks up the deeper the move hits. Akira also gets a damage bonus if the bodycheck hits as a counter. This move can also duck under or outright ignore a bunch moves. What you saw was the absolute worst scenario for the opponent. The trade-off is that Akira's recovery, if the move is blocked, is so awful that the opponent has time to think about what their most damaging punish is! In VF5 Final/Ultimate Showdown, the evasive properties of the bodycheck are mostly gone now, and opponent chains track even successful dodgers far better. I can't tell you how many times I've been straight up stuffed out of this move by simple jabs, knees and elbows. It's much, much harder to YOLO or punish dodged attacks with the bodycheck now. As a trade-off for Akira, the block stun and pushback are now odd, making it awkward for the opponent to counter. If the opponent knows what they are doing though, Akira is still a dead man when this move is blocked. Despite the balancing in the most recent games, the bodycheck does MORE damage (60%+) now if Akira knows exactly what he's doing and his opponent is very, VERY unlucky, LOL.

다 못써도 약보정주(666P) 하나만이라도 잘 쓰면 꽤 좋았어요. 버파에서도 날먹기가 여럿 있지만 그 중에서 약보정주는 정말 대회에서도 자주 보일 정도로 주력기라 한번 질러보자는 식으로 가위바위보 싸움. 저는 수패고 자체는 쓸 줄 아는데 패드로만 쓸 줄 압니다 🤭

벽의 틈이 작은 리온, 재키, PS2판 수중맵, 그 외 벽 파괴맵 같은 곳에서 벽을 부수지 않고도 조금만 사이 틈에 넘어가서 링아웃 당할 수도 있어요. 사라 같이 점프하면서 넘어가는(9P) 기술 처럼 간혹 링아웃 사태가 벌어지기도 해요.

꼭 그렇지도 않은게, 3편이 2편과 4편의 중간 느낌이고, E 버튼이라는 특이한 회피기 시스템이 있는데, 이걸 이용해서 철권 스럽게 횡을 자연스럽게 치면서 움직이고, 버파 특유의 스피디한 게임성이 마음에 들어서 그래요. 저는 일본 아케이드나 우연찮게도 친구 집에 버파 3를 많이해서 기억이 나는데 철권 4 처럼 맵에 고저차가 있어서 타카 맵, 아키라 맵, 사라 맵 이렇게 많이 했어요. 파이 맵, 리온 맵은 브금이 좋아서 하는 맵. 지금이야 일본은 물론 디코에서도 버파 3의 인기는 여전히 좋습니다.

@@user-vb3il1jb7l 아까도 말했지만 버파 3에서만 E 버튼이라고 각종 레버 상황에 피하는 기술이 있고, P+E나 K+E나 피하면서 옆으로 잽, 킥 이렇게 사용이 되고요, 일반적인 E버튼은 4~5편의 공격 회피 모션이라 횡 성능이 굉장히 좋아서 가정용인 3TB에서 많이 약화가 되긴 했지만 E 캔슬이라고 이름하야 코리안 스텝으로써 철권 못지 않은 횡신력을 보여줄 수 있었습니다. 신의욱 씨의 대회 영상만 봐도 E 버튼의 잠재력을 참고하실 수 있고요. 그외 4편 이후로는 레버 횡이동, 회피 이렇게 두 가지로 놓일 수 있는데, 횡이동은 그냥 철권 시리즈 처럼 소리가 안나고, 철권 시리즈하고는 달리 동작의 틈이 커서 잡기나 양횡 공격에 취약한 단점이 있어서, 앉아 대시로 캔슬해야 횡이동 딜레이를 줄일 수 있어요. 전작의 E 버튼의 모션이고, 발동 조건은 상대방이 직선 공격 혹은 회전(시계 혹은 반시계쪽 양횡 공격은 회피 안됨)공격으로 회피에 성공하면 소리가 나오면서 횡이동 하는 시스템이에요. 오히려 버튼 때문에 취향차이가 갈리긴 하지만 버파 3를 집요하게 파고드는 사람도 있을 정도로 현지 일본에서도 인기는 여전히 좋습니다. 마지막으로 철권에서도 철권 3, 태그 1 만해도 "버튼 회피 설정" 이 있긴 있었어요. 버튼 만큼 편하디 편하긴 한데 물론 버파 만큼이나 회피가 좋진 않고, 횡이동 도중에도 쿨타임이 있어서 횡을 치고 바로 횡을 못해요. 횡캔횡이 되는 건 철권 5부터 개선이 됩니다.
