The chihuahua looks like it expects to be eaten at any moment. Until the last scene, the tail is lowered or tight against its legs and it keeps its head down, avoiding eye contact to keep from giving offense. Felix wants to make friends, but he is SO big that the dog is intimidated.

No joke, my sister has a chihuahua and my 85+ lb. hunting Labradors (3 of them) don't intimidate it at all. The labs barely acknowledge the small dog. Funny how the 'hyper-predator cat' brings the playing field back into balance and the little dog knows it.

I am honestly impressed that the chihuahua didn't bite the cat. All the warning signs were there. Frozen, head turned away, whale eyes, lip licking. Cat just ignores these signs and walk closer. Poor dog.

I loved our Maine Coon to death. A fixed male who still stood his ground with all our dogs and was a heck of a slap fighter, his previous owner declawed him and was going to put him to sleep as her new husband hated cats, he was maybe 2, he lived to be 17 or 18. A large personality and loved the girls and their long hair. I had him in college when I rented a large house, he was a ladies man

My old neighbor had one from the day I moved in with my little tabby kitten. He bullied the heck out of my cat until one day I saw them playing together in the back yard. They suddenly became friends and my kitten was never afraid again.

When I have had rodent infestations where I have lived, I really wanted a Maine Coon. They are supposed to be excellent mousers. Plus, I've lived in some not so good neighborhoods, and a giant cat might keep me safe. People would think I have a small lion as a pet!

Felix is absolutely beautiful. His personality, like most MC's is so relaxed + easy going. Whereas the dear little doggo is like me, more highly strung!
