@@jmpat0802 Gotta be honest, it sounded nothing like Pink Floyd or either Hendrix Experience, which isn't a bad thing at all, even because Main Squeeze is a funk/soul band. I mean, they could've been more loyal to the original version, playing Hendrix with a Gibson SG? Ouch. They did at their style, and it sounded pretty good (excluding the drums tbh), but Hendrix is not a soul band, much less Pink Floyd.

I played music for years before i really fell in love with it. I started playing guitar when i was 12 and i didn't really get hendrix to be honest. I thought he was good i just didn't recognize the brilliance and didn't have the context to understand how important he was for the guitar and for music in general. I remember tripping lsd with some friends and i had just bought a used martin off a friend. I thought enjoying the guitar outdoors while the lsd kicked in would be a good way to get through the come up. I sat outside and really felt what i played, it seemed like nature was in harmony with my playing and the trees where swaying to the music. I realized that i must be really feeling the drug at this point so i walked in to join my friends and little wing came on in that exact moment. It paralyzed me, I couldn't believe what i was feeling through the music. I felt so much love through this song it opened my eyes to a different, less analytical more emotional relationship with music that never went away. For this reason this song will always have a very special place for me . Somehow with all the attention to detail you guys express an even deeper love and appreciation for this music than i can even comprehend and make me appreciate the song even more than I already did.

I have to agree. I think that helps set it apart from other covers that just sound like a "recital." Max and his SG are a unit at this point, and he's able to express himself fully though it and sound inspired by Jimi rather than just copying him. I've always felt like the original conveyed every emotion humans were capable of experiencing all before the vocals even kicked in. Maximillian on the got-damn guitar managed to do that perfectly here. Then he takes that feeling and just blows it up to the size of the universe at the end. I'm just listening over and over again in awe here.
