Nice vid Dave. I don't own such a fancy machine as the Tormek. I do have a Foley Belsaw that is waiting to be set up in the garage shop when I get the bench project completed.

Well it is third hand. I got it for a great deal. Its old but I am the third woodworker to own it. That should say something about the quality. Man I would like to see that Foley! Thank you so much for stopping by and commenting.

Dave Bardin Tormek makes great tools. Third hand is practically new. Some of our planes predate the industrial revolution. The Foley is in the garage shop. I picked it up at a garage sale 4 years ago with the idea of sharpening planer blades. Haven't even used it yet. When I do I'll make a vid. The guy that had it said his father bought the whole sharpening business setup and died before he ever did anything with it. I guess that makes it third hand too. :-)

What the type of jig you are using. And how wide of a blade can fit. Thanks

Nice job. More 'new' stuff. always fun. I think the flat water stones can do this too.

You have to keep them flat. A 2 3/8 inch blade will show every little error.

How can a DIP in a stone make a DIP in the plane ??? Should be a ridge on the plane instead of a dip. It grind away stuff on the left and the right of the dip, so you should end up with a ridge in the middle of your plane iron.
