It's amazing to see you going through the old videos and comparing them to the new animations! Yeah SMG4 used to be just a 13 year old kid doing bloopers, and now there's a whole team behind it (that also created GLITCH Productions aka Murder Drones) Modern SMG4 consists of 3 different categories nowadays: 1. The "SMG4 Crew" Videos, for example Mario Does Pranks. These videos are just random animated reactions that have no story and are just for fun 2. Mainline-Episodes, for example Who Let The Chomp Out & Freddy's Spaghetteria. These videos are actual episodes with plot, and modern episodes also follow a canon with lore n stuff. 3. Arc-Episodes. SMG4 made 7 Story-Arcs in the past 5 years, and all these arcs are the reason why SMG4 has become so different compared to 8 years ago Not sure how much you want to get into SMG4, so if you're just planning to reacting to a couple more of episodes, I'd recommend checking out more of the most famous episodes. If you plan to stick around, then you can simply react to all the new episodes. But if you're deep into lore and wanna know more about SMG4's past n stuff, then I'd recommend checking out the Story-Arcs and some other older episodes that introduce characters we always see in modern episodes.

It’s honestly insane looking back at SMG4’s old videos, and how much he’s improved. (If you didn’t know, this is the same dude that started the company behind Murder Drones.) Also the amount of lore in the SMG4 universe is insane. The videos are an absolute sh*tpost and on the rare occasion there is a story, it’s barely comprehensible, but there is almost as much (if not more) detail to dig into than the MCU. (For example, that character in the car window/watermelon life hack is Melony, a watermelon that gained sentience and a body after coming into contact with the Fierce Deity Mask from The Legend of Zelda. And this seems completely normal compared to all of the other chaos that happens on this channel.)

There is somewhat a way to categorize SMG4's videos: by era. 2011: The era of beginnings Simple low quality blooper videos with simple stories and characters. SMG4 said it himself that his first was his worst. 2012-2013: The era of definition SMG4 starts to define themself as a cinematic universe, with characters gaining and showing defining traits as well as new ones being introduced. 2014-2016: The golden ages The era where many iconic or otherwise memorable videos happened. 2017-2018: The era of expansion New iconic characters get solidified as a part of SMG4's crew, and the first (and second) of many arcs - bigger, overarching stories spanning up to 7-15 episodes long - takes place. 2019-NOW: The era of new storytelling Over time, SMG4's crew expands, changes, experiences hardships, and to top it off, solidified lore about the series is introduced as it heads in a new direction.

Mairusu, all this people telling you to watch arcs or movies or that stuff dont really know what they're asking for. You shouldnt just jump straight into story arcs and things like that. SMG4 has a playlist about essential stuff that will definitely help inderstand the arcs that you will want to see later after getting familiar with the charachters

Marisu, there is somehow a story to this chaos! Most of the "arcs" in the playlist section ends in a WOFTI (War of the fat Italians) but some end in an SMG4 MOVIE. id suggest watching them in order from oldest to newest to learn the new characters. Have fun!

If you're wondering why luigi sometimes has an M on his hat, thats because luigi isnt in super mario 64, so they have to use a mario reskin instead of luigi, it would just be too much of a hassle to have 3d models the whole time when theres just 2 people working on the show at that time.

SMG4 is a smorgasbord of chaos and stupidity and it is really fun to watch. If you want something that's quite feature-length, the Anime Arc or the Waluigi Arc (aka the very first SMG4 arc) might be worth your time. If you want something that's more palatable, here's a few suggestions: - The World of Craftmine - Can the Villager come out to play? - If Mario was in... Deltarune - If Mario was in... Portal - The Mario Mafia - Mario gets his Pingas stuck in a door - Account loss... - The Crazy Fighters - Mario and the spaghetti factory - Lil Penguin Lost - If Mario was in... Splatoon - If Mario was in... Roblox (I do apologize for having so many suggestions but I kind of want all eras of SMG4 to be given a chance to shine. Oh, there is so much more to this Like, there’s 7 whole arcs, two of which lasting a full 12 episodes (though the latter one, the Genesis Arc, has a bunch of episodes in between mandatory to the story, but not included in the playlist, with the same thing happening with it’s sequel, the Revelations Arc), and 5 movies, going for 39 minutes at the lowest and 52 at the highest. Also a bunch of standalone episodes used to introduce new characters.

I’d look into a few of the random videos from between 2016-2017. They’ll give you some more insight on the supporting cast. “Can Ganondorf Come Out to Play”, “Doki Doki Mario Club”and “If Mario Was in Splatoon” are SPECIFIC highlights. As they introduce 3 of the most integral characters in the show. Also, look up any oldies involving SMG3. Then? The Waluigi Arc should be your first stop.

You see, Mariusu, while you did whitness what most of the series of SMG4 is about, you'd be surprised how much development it has went through along with the amount of characters that got introduced and developed themselves and don't even get me started on the amount of lore there is in this thing. When it comes to SMG4, there are two eras, old SMG4(Starting with the first video, and ending with the first video of the Walauigi Arc), and new SMG4(Starting with the first video of the Walauigi Arc, to now). Neither era is enharently better than the other, as it really just boils down to taste. Some people prefer the randomness of old SMG4, whereas others prefer new SMG4 because of the story focus and more mild humor.

Idk, I'd honestly consider the Waluigi Arc to be moreso part of the Old Smg4 era, though it's like the last part of it. Yeah it set up a lot of things that would become characteristic of modern Smg4, but the arc itself still had a lot of elements and commonality and the vibe of old Smg4 that the later arcs don't have, including stuff like the fact that it still focused primarily on the Nintendo cast the series was built on rather than basically throwing them out in the trash like with the newer stuff, and the still prominent use of Mario 64 for the animation (even including special custom SM64 models for some moments) that's all but gone in the newer stuff. Mario and the T-pose Virus's first scene is almost entirely SM64-based just like the older episodes and still feels a lot like a classic episode partially because of that, for example.

SMG4's older videos where like older Spongebob, but from 2017 to present they're more like modern Spongebob, where the jokes are hit or miss, he also added Story Arcs which can be very confusing if haven't seen all like 80 of them.

the animation styled used is called "machinima", using video games (and mods) to make a cinematic project about the lore, there wasn't really lore in the old episodes. and about luigi, smg4 before early 2016 never had a SM64 model of luigi so they just replaced mario's colors.

The girl that went uncanny is melony, one the main characters on Smg4, who was a melon that turned into a human from a firce deity mask. She does not like fruit being eaten or harmed. She also goes through some big character development and loses her closest friend and love interest axol in war of the fat Italians 2021. She is a good character and is voiced by wolfiecue. I hope this was helpful and hope to see you react to some more Smg4 because it has evolved alot since if was first created.

Well the new episodes, aka the past like 5 or 6 years, have been increasingly focused on a progressive storyline with intricate lore and all that nonsense, it all started back in... What, 2018? Anyway that's when the arcs started, however the addition of many original characters started long before then, the first being Bob if I'm not mistaken in the episode where Ganondorf steals peach, then Fishy Boopkins in the episode where the gang goes on a cruise, you get the idea. Even if the new episodes aren't as great as they were back in the day, in my personal opinion at least, I'd say they're still a good watch. The man posts only once or twice a week, depending on if he posts a, as it's now known, SMG4 Crew video, so if you watch it enough you should easily be able to get through all the story and whatnot. Or if you just want the lore itself then the arcs are separated into their own little playlists. Either way I'm glad you enjoyed it all, even if it was a bit chaotic and confusing at times 😂

Smg4 does get into some story stuff and that starts with the rapper Bob arc or the waluigi arc, and then it continues from there. Honestly you can start with either one, me personally I suggest the waluigi Arc. Then it goes to the anime arc, then the KZbin arc, etc.

With SMG4, he has a story line in the arcs, and at the end of them has a “WOTFI (year)” (War Of The Fat Italians, aka Mario vs SMG4). I’d recommend Watching the KZbin arc, genesis arc (2021) and lawsuit arc (2022). However, if you want to learn SMG4 lore, watch from WOTFI 2018 - 2022 (all arcs). Maybe one arc a video? It’s up to you. Definitely check out some other videos. The older videos aren’t really your best bet nowadays.

The lore is that Smg4 is a blue mario who appeared at the castle and kinda stays around, in the past he was the one to rein Mario in from his Insanity or stupidity. If you wanna be technical Smg4 is a self insert of the creator Luke. They alongside the charaters youll meet will get into hilarious situations. But the arcs are videos to watch for another time. As they have a plot drive from video to video that you have to pay attention to that happens after the video ends or during behind the scenes.
