The characters in Unbeatable are from an old NES commercial, yes... they were real. Also Juno Songs, the voice of DJ Hallyboo released a lyrical version of No Party, the song that has Hallyboo. It is super worth the listen and watch.

​@@MairusuAlso the ending of the song has it so you cannot heal from hitting notes and also each character yields a different gimmick: Mr Sys gets the only No Miss segment Duck Hunt Dog causes damage every time the background goes red and boyfriend on the health bar breaks. Bowser has a firebar that forces you to half and bullet bills to obscure the screen. With Duck Hunt Dog they're meant to be Mechakoopas and with Bowser they are indeed Lakitus. Mr Virtual doesn't have a game but has one wild story, I won't speak of it aside from V was human. If you ever want info for these characters I can supply, I basically know them all.

18:49 hey, i'm a programmer, didn't work on this mod, but i'm gonna answer your question because i think i know how they pulled this off, basically, it changes your desktop wallpaper to the "TOO LATE" background, and then it makes the game window fullscreen and makes the ingame background transparent (if that makes sense), and the way it manages to do all that isn't by any wierd hacking or whatever, it's via the windows API, an official set of functions and variables that microsoft created to help software developers make thier programs work on windows, but it can also be used for "meta" 4th wall-breaking stuff like this.

it doesnt make the game fullscreened, but more like borderless windowed, as ive been able to see the green edges of the window (customly set in windows settings) after mr virtual turns into gf and displays the desktop, but also hides the top of the window off-screen to make it seem as though its taken over the entire computer, but still, sick stuff!

Mairusu, about this one 46:30 That's actually from Touhou, A game series where you shoot bullets around (it's before Undertale was a thing), and you see all of the Touhou characters are females, Also that giant "Mario" with the red dress (it's called a shrine maiden's outfit) is based on Touhou's main protag, Reimu Hakurei (How about to say her name "Rei-Muu) as that little girl with her shoes says "ZUN" it's Cirno, she's a ice fairy, and "ZUN" is actually the creator of Touhou Go to the wikipedia and search in Touhou,

fun fact: only the first "don't miss" part in unbeatable kills you if you miss, so the hardest part of the song is actually near the beginning also theres alternate pause menu descriptions for each part of overdue, the second part of promotion, and each part of the end (after mario wakes up and in the first person part) the overdue and the end ones explain what the song is based on but otherwise they arent that interesting 46:42 seems to be all-stars act 4 but with references to touhou music (not sure who the character is)

Also, in golden land, powerdown, and demise, the description also changes in them. In golden land, after GB transforms it changes. In powerdown, it also changes after MX transforms. And in demise, I believe it changes during the last part of the song when it's stuck on 3 seconds, but I can't fully remember.

I thought the gimmick of Unbeatable was that if the electricity comes up and the arrows go to the center during *all* the sections, that tells you that you cannot miss. It's still pretty tricky during the first part of the song. The Touhou song being referenced in Act 4 of All Stars is Bad Apple. One of the most popular Touhou songs thanks to its Music Video. The song itself is Elly's Stage Theme from Lotus Land Story. One of the PC-98 Touhou games.

A KZbinr named Vinesauce was playing bootlegs on stream and discovered 7 Grand Dad and it became A massive meme. “Mario Sing And Game Rhythm 9” is based on another bootleg game called Somari The Adventurer. I would retry unbeatable Every 'opponent' has their separate mechanic Mr Sys (the announcer guy or Steal your soul) mechanic is DO NOT MISS. While it is hard, IT DOES NOT APPLY TO EVERY OPPONENT im quite glad they decided to do the harder mechanic first Imagine losing 8-9 minutes into the song. Duck hunts mechanic is the zapper gun, on beat, you will be shot up, just hit the notes and you will be fine Finally bowser, he has 2 mechanics in his portion. 1st is the fire bar, upon having contact with bowsers/bf's health icons, resets the health to basicly to half health 2nd are the bullet bills Basicly visual distractions covering your view, focusing on the top (bottom if you do upscroll)

I saw a video of some of the cut content that did not make it in the mod. Among them were sprites for BF in a 3d gmod styles and sprites for SMG4 mario, meaning there was plan's for a SMG4 song in the mod. I'm sad that it didn't make the cut. Fun fact: one tiny new detail after the mod, when you go in the overworld, boyfriend's character sprite is different. When you just had gone to the overworld for the first time (or anytime before the all stars), boyfriend's face was showing. After the mod, boyfriend's sprite changed showing boyfriend might be depressed (I think he's depressed, not saying that he is depressed, just saying that he might be depressed). So yeah!

unbeatable is based off an old commercial to promote the nes or something, they say its unbeatable bcuz the games in that time like battletoads in the nes were HELLA hard
