This character deserved so much better. I loved her in Fallen Kingdom, and I understood completely why in her situation she saw freeing the dinosaurs as the right thing to do. But because the premise of dinosaurs roaming the world is just brushed aside like it's no big deal in Dominion, it leaves no room for what her character arc should have been about: her reconciling with that choice she made. It would have been so interesting and powerful if, as she grows older and the gravity of how the world is changing sinks in, she starts to see her connection to these creatures in a different light, perhaps thinking to herself, "Maybe I'm just part of the chaos." So her not wanting to be bound to the cabin isn't just about wanting to get out into the world, but joining Claire and Owen in doing good in the world. But instead of building on her story in Fallen Kingdom, it just retcons it in a way that senselessly contradicts what was established before.

@@muddywaters92 I didn’t find the human clone story interesting, at all, I wish they hadn’t chose to write her in the story, then to make what’s supposed to be the final of the Jurassic World franchise about kidnapping Maisie and Beta so Henry Wu can study them to fix the locusts bullshit was just so boring to me too much time was spent on Biosyn and Maisie and the locusts there was basically no story about the dinosaurs now co existing which is what they led people to expect because the trailer was so deceiving, I hadn’t watched it until recently and I couldn’t believe the way it was put together they completely hid what the main focus was going to be they made it look like it was going to be all about the dinosaurs when really the dinosaurs were just a side story, I’m also a big fan of Blue and she got barely any screen time they could have gave her and Beta a better story, I didn’t care for some of the new characters either and there were so many stupid scenes like Owen keeping two carnivores from ripping him apart by holding up his magical palm then again with Barry and the Atrociraptor then Maisie with Beta that was too much, I do enjoy parts like the scene with Claire and the Therizinosaurus, the scene with the two Apatosaurus in the snow, Blue teaching Beta how to hunt, but mostly nothing grabs my attention, the prologue is really good the bonus scene Battle at Big Rock is awesome and that’s what the whole movie should have been the fight and struggle to co exist with dinosaurs that’s what majority of Jurassic lovers wanted to see, Dominion had so much potential and they chose to spend more time on a human clone and giant locusts then on the dinosaurs which is what Jurassic is all about, I find it funny when Ellie says to the farmer that the dinosaurs get all the attention, it’s like they purposely put that line in there to say “The dinosaurs are getting old we’re going to focus on something else.” Long rant.

@@muddywaters92 The look on Alan’s face when Maise does that is hilarious that whole scene is just dumb, there was no story built up on the gig and the fight at the end just feels so random I wasn’t entertained by it at all, the whole film is just a mess with stupid unrealistic scenes and cringy lines, Claire outruns a raptor hopping buildings like she’s Spider-Man and doesn’t even twist an ankle, carnivores are walking around eating people and no one gives a shit they’re just going about their business, Santos the female trafficker was a horrible choice I didn’t like her character at all it’s like they tried way too hard to make her this big bad female boss, what I also found funny, in the trailer they’re showing scenes with dinosaurs and they play Ellie’s voice in the background and she says “We created an ecological disaster.” Making it sound like she’s talking about how they fucked up by bringing dinosaurs back and now the whole world is going to shit, but in the movie, she says to Wu “You created an ecological disaster.” Referring to the fucking locusts not the dinosaurs, they twisted that line to fool people, I just don’t get it, I don’t understand why they thought the plot they came up with was a good idea they could have came up with something else to bring the original crew back, it would have been so cool to see the dinosaurs taking over everything not living in the Biosyn valley where you get a few short scenes here n there.

I hope Sermon gets starred in more roles tbh, sucks it's been 4 years and only two Jurassic World movies are her filmography. Obviously, it's her life and her decision, and if she really doesn't want to be a full time actress I respect that, but I'm just saying, it's a bit of wasted potential. But hey, I'm not an actor, I don't know how it works, I'm not Isabella either, maybe she just couldn't fit it into her schedule, or maybe she just had a contract where she had to solely work on Jurassic World until it was finished. Now that the series is finished, hopefully she considers it, but again like I said, I respect her decision if these are just one time gigs and she refuses to do any more. But then again, I recall she did want to pursue acting, even before she was in Fallen Kingdom so it be weird to suddenly stop after two movies.

I wish they showed more on how the dinosaurs were destroying the entire ecosystem and causing havoc for the human population. Maybe Maisie realising that her decision to turn all the dinosaurs loose into a 21st century world wasn’t the best course of action. Like the whole point of both the original JP books and the first few films was that these animals were dangerous genetically modified creatures that weren’t supposed to exist in the first place and shouldn’t be allowed off of Isla Nublar and Sorna. In the first book almost the entire second half was Alan Grant, Alexis and Tim trying to get back to the rest of the group so they could contact a cargo ship filled with baby velociraptor stowaways so it could return back to the island and stop the velociraptors getting loose on the mainland and causing havoc. And the few dinosaurs that did successfully get to the mainland without detection went on to viciously devour babies and young children before moving deeper into the jungle to eat soyabeans on soya bean plantations which ultimately put a stop to infant devouring. And at the end of the book the military bombs nublar purely because of how much of a hazard the dinosaurs were
