These crochet baby booties with their fold over cuff would make a great gift for a new arrival.
They are offered in three different sizes: Newborn, 0 - 3 months and 3 - 6 months. The pattern is the same for all three sizes, all you need to do is change the hook size.
The length of these crochet baby booties is:
Newborn: 3” (8cm)
0 - 3 months: 3.5” (9cm)
3 - 6 months: 4” (10cm)
There are 2 other sizes for these booties: 6-9 months and 9-12 months. The instructions for these sizes are not covered in this video; instead, please see the free pattern for the written instructions: maisieandruth....
This is an easy crochet tutorial and I’ll show you what to do step by step. You will need to be familiar with the following stitches:
BLdc - double crochet through the back loop only
ch(s) - chain(s)
dc - double crochet
dc2tog - double crochet two together
sc - single crochet
sl st - slip stitch
st(s) - stitch(es)

The best baby bootie crochet pattern in the world. Perfect for beginners too. I did it in cotton and reduced the hook size to make them stiffer and I raised the calf height a bit. Used DK! On a 2.5mm hook for a newborn. Did a chain and weaved it through the calf with a bow finish to help keep them on. I wrapped them as a pressy putting rolled cardboard in the calf area and tissue in the foot space so they looked like something from a shoe shop! Thank you Amanda they brought so much joy from the parents this Xmas. First baby. 2 weeks to go…. I’m now making your cardi… a fabulous channel and excellent close up videos. Calm music and little talking apart from the necessary info. Love it all ❣️

I made these exactly how you told us to, but I was making mine for a little girl, so after round 17, I did a round putting 3 double crochets in every stitch, and I got this ruffle at the top and it’s so adorable!

I just have to tell you... I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE BOOTIES! ❤ LOL! I'm pretty sure I already told you how much I love these before. But, I'm going to go a little further and tell you something about myself. I have Fibromyalgia and it robs me if my memory sometimes...even with the smallest of tasks. So sometimes I can't remember how to start these booties. So I have to watch your video over and over and over again. Lol! I an in constant pain all of the time. It's just worse sometimes more than others. Then the Winter blues set in, that makes my depression even worse. I've had so many losses in my lifetime. But, when I make these booties, idk, it just warms my heart inside. ❤ I've made 1 pair and gave them to a dear friend of mine for her great grandson. Man! Did that ever put a big smile 😀 on her face. She loves them! ❤ In the past about 3 or 4 years ago...I made a pair for the doll baby that I bought because, it's about a big as a 2-4 month old baby. That gives me an ideal size for when I make clothes. But, I just wanted to share with you of just how much joy this tutorial has brought to me in the past years. I’d like to say that this is the best pattern for baby booties I’ve ever ran into! Thank you so much! I’ve tried several myself. I’ve been crocheting since I was a little girl and I’m 66 years old. The directions were perfect and the size was right on. my son is having their second baby any day. I whipped these up in no time. I completed a pair of baby booties last week from someone else’s pattern, but they fit my one but they fit my one-year-old granddaughter! At least they were put to good use. You are awesome!

I made these and they were so cute and the video was clear and easy to follow. It was my first time doing anything kind of ”3D”, and my first time doing dc2together. The first boot I had to pull up some of the rows a few times until I understood that the ”last stitch” wasn’t a real stitch, and I acctually was doing it right 😅 I had to count the stiches very carefully on the first boot, but when I made the second one I could tell by apparence where I was, and it went a lot quicker! Loved the video!

Hi Amanda, it's important that you use the same weight of yarn for the project. Regarding the crochet hook, if your work is turning out bigger then you may need to go down a hook size in order to achieve the correct size🌷
