Sailing day isn’t daring at all, it’s honestly really easy to wear in the warmer months if you’ll be outdoors. I mean everyone entitled to their own opinion, and while the other ones smell great, this is one of my favorites from the line. It seems like every reviewer like out of the box fragrances but I promise you if I brought some girls to Sephora and had them smell every single fragrance from the line they would make stink face at by the fire place and jazz club but they would love sailing day.

I live for salty, seaweed perfumes. I live at the sea side and all I can smell in the air is seaweed and salt. I think I am going to like this one.

Just got 6 mill decant of sailing day and by the fireplace on the way only marineish frag I have is bvlgari aqua marine so I'm interested if sailing day I'd like that

great review MAX I like aquatic & strange so this is right up my scent alley I wish it had more power my signature scent is TOM FORD OUD MINERALE I find this to be a super easy to wear frag here in the tropics JIM in MIAMI BEACH

Ok thanks Max, that's what I was worried about as I already own Sel Marin. I know you may not be a fan of realistic aquatics, but you should check out Menditerosa Archetipo. It is very unique for an aquatic. Like a volcano erupting right next to the ocean. The strongest aquatic I have in my collection, bar none.

Hey Max, tried Music Festival at Selfridges Birmingham and I love the Replica line for setting the scene scents and sadly it doesn't, not like By The Fireplace does. Anyway... Great review mate!!!

I confess - I LOVE AQUATICS and this is a good one I love the strangeness (unlike NAUTICA VOYAGER) I really enjoy the top of SALTY SEAWEED/AMBERGRIS this has a wonderful CEDAR drydown as well its terrific down here in the tropics JIM from MIAMI BEACH

I agree 100% with this review. This is great for outdoor events as being out in the open will help this scent blossom but even the scent profile seems harmless that sharp seaweed note may be too much for some people in close quarters. My fiancée hated this as she said was too sharp. (That was with only 2 decant sprays)

Good review Max, honestly i try this but for me the juniper note is too much prominent, i don't like this release that, in my opinion, is too strong in the opening. By the fire place, obviously is different, for me is on another level. Best regards from Italy

How close is it to Bvlgari Aqva Pour homme- it also has the seaweed type of note

For me is completely different, honestly this isn't the best release of Maison Margiela, i prefered much more aqva pour homme that, for me, is one of the best and underrated aquatic fragrance. But i tell you if you can try first aqva pour homme is a different in comparison to the generic aquatic scent that you usually find on the market, for me the original is , with Amara, the best scent in the Aqva line.

Bvlgari Aqva Pour homme is a very wearable and pleasant Aquatic. Sailing day is very realistic oceanic-salty and seaweed vibe scent, a great comparison would be Heeley's Sel Marin!

Nice airy, aquatic fragrance. I'm sure it can gather compliments. I prefer this to Under the Lemon Tree. Won't buy it because I have Aqva Marine which smells very similar,even richer and sweeter,imo,plus costs third the price.
