Here's my thoughts about vanilla...I LOVE it!!! BUT it is frustrating when so many perfumes only have vanilla in the base so you don't actually get that much vanilla OR it is too "jouvenille" if that makes sense. I am here for the: bourban/madagascar vanilla, vanilla orchid, warm, sweet or even semi sweet, gourmand, spicy, smokey, and/or sultry vanillas. So I'm always on the hunt for my "perfect" vanilla perfume that isn't drowned by other notes. So excited for this series!!!

Yaasss!!! There are so so many different kinds! So exciting to be exploring these all this week! 🤗 So far on this fragrance journey of mine, nothing has been as "pure" vanilla smelling that hits all the right points as Vanille West Indies. I wear tested something else that was gone by 5 , which was great longevity, but I got to transition to Vanilla West Indies tonight. I'm at an event and I'm in Vanilla Heaven!🥰

To be clear, I love some depth and uniqueness with plenty of other notes, but if it is supposed to be a vanilla centered fragrance, add some in the top notes too I say 😂 Many of my favorite perfumes have vanilla somewhere in the note structure. Super excited to hear the others you try!

I completely agree that you can never have too many vanillas. Everyone hypes escapade gourmande, I need to try it. Vanille West Indies is on my wish list as well! They all sound so delicious!

I love a lot of notes, but if I had to name ONE as my top favorite, it would have to be vanilla! Very excited about this week's line up. In the past year I was on a hunt to try every vanilla I could get my nose on- to the point that now I have to stop myself and ask, "Lauren, be honest, do you really need another vanilla?" Of course my answer is always, "Uhh, yeah!" but I have displayed restraint and am trying to focus on wearing what I already have because I need to reign in the buying a bit... Maybe I need to go on the groups and see if anyone wants to do a vanilla decant swap 😆Get my new fixes without breaking the bank!

Oohhh, that Vanilla decant swap sounds like a great idea! Although, I went a little hard with the Vanille West Indies decant swaps and ended up finishing my bottle too soon, so now I'm being stingy with my Precious Vanillas!😍😅

@@janelle-scenttalkfrommycloset Oh no! This is why sometimes 50 ml just isn't enough! I live in fear of running out of my favorites- when I start to get low I look for a back up bottle and pause on using it until I have more in hand haha. Vanille West indies is actually my SOTD today (layered over the EOS vanilla cashmere lotion along with mon guerlain hair perfume) and I am loving it. I tried Vanille West Indies over the summer one day when I was craving vanilla and it just did not work for me in the heat. I hope you're able to get more soon if you decide you need it back in your life!

So far I really Love the Andromeda's Moon version of Tihota and the Genre Parfums version of Escapade Gourmande called Mello Vanillo. Those are my current picks, but I'm always exploring. 🤗 Mello Vanillo will be back in stock on Etsy on Louisianaroma around the 31st of March.

Ooooh, I'm so excited to explore this note! I can't wait for the weather to cool down here in Utah so I can break out some of my sweeter gourmands. It's been in the 80's all week, so I can't even pretend it's fall. It's just straight up never-ending summer here. That's ok, though, since I'm pretty sure we'll all be complaining about the freezing cold in a month or so, but I'll be smelling DELICIOUS! I'm with Danielle below -- I want to explore some bourbon vanillas and spicy vanillas. :)

It honestly depends what I'm in the mood for, more vanilla forward like Escapade Gourmande or the candied fruits and vanilla I get from Dulce Diablo. I couldn't afford both at the same time, so I went for the Escapade Gourmande, because Vanilla. 🤗💕
