Another caution! I just set up this drive. It has A LOT of razor sharp edges that cut like a hot knife on butter through your skin. Handle with care.

Ordered one for $90~ from your link I think I might hook this up to a x86 Youyeetoo-X1 machine with USB 3.0 BTRFS raid w/ spare...and see what kind of speeds I can get...pretty cool! Thanks

I don't know however it has that big cooling fan so no more than other actively cooled device most likely. Didn't even consider that. Thanks for the good question.

Can you put in drives from another device that already have info on them? I don't want to reformat my drives and loos all my info. I am just replacing an old case.

That is exactly what I did, I had some old data backups on two of the drives and they worked fine. If they were in your in your windows pc previously they should work fine.

@@wisebuyreviews I have a Mac, but that is good news thanks. The video sugetsts that you need to back up all your data and reformat the drive which did not sound right.

If I have 4 HDDs of 10 TB each (4 WD RED PRO) inserted and configured in Software Raid 0, then can I achieve speeds above 800 MB/s?

How is it for watching movies? Im looking at grabbing one of these to connect to my tv and watch movies and TV shows off of it. Is the HDMI actually useful on it?

This is not meant for that, it is more mean to pass the video signal from your usb port probably 1080p 60hz max. Kind of like you would see on those USB dongles with hdmi audio and network port on it. It is a usb enclosure to connect to a pc or mac. The TV is best connected to your PC and you can store your local data on it to watch movies.
