I had the honor of serving with Maj. Echterling as well as her father Col. Echterling in my 38 year career with the 139th AW. They are both outstanding individuals and served their country with pride and dignity. She is a outstanding pilot and a great person. Proud to have had the opportunity to serve with her and call her a friend.

Dear Major Echterling, I enjoyed very much your story as a pilot of Commercial Aircraft’s and of course the amazing C-130 Hercules. Being in the Navy Seabees in the early 60’s I was able to be flown to so many places. My favorite was McMurdo Station in Antarctica. Two 5 month deployments. An incredible experience for a young sailor which I will never forget. Also had been on a C-124 Globemaster. The C-130 was the best.. Wondering if you have flown to the “Ice” Unbelievable remote experience. Wishing you the very best in the future. Happy Happy Piloting. Donald Cushing

With over a 1,000 hours in the C-130, and 5,000 flying hours overall in MAC/AMC the C-130 was my favorite. "Down and dirty in a C-130."
