Ileana D’Cruz is completely Indian and she comes from my Home State Goa. My surname too is Fernandes and I too come from Goa. Diversity is India’s strongest pillar 😊. It’s awesome watching this masterpiece with you guys ❤.

The friend who you thought looks like a Latina is actually a full Bengali Indian & her name is Sumona Chakravarti. The lead actress in this part (not Priyanka, the other one) is actually Ileana D'Cruz & she's mostly Indian (very distant Portuguese ancestry, but like centuries ago). A lot of Catholics on West Coast of India have Portuguese/Latin names since some areas in that region were under Portuguese rule for centuries & they converted hundreds of thousands of locals during that time. Today the community is numbered in millions. Please understand there is no standard "Indian look." I am a full Punjabi North Indian, and I was routinely mistaken for Arab, Latino, even Persian while I was living in the US. There are literally millions of Indians out there (mostly in North) who are "White passing" & look quite Caucasian, and similarly millions of Indians who are as dark as Sub-Saharan Africans (mostly in South), and you'll find a billion or more on the spectrum in between. This should not be surprising though since India is literally the most ethnolinguistically diverse large country on the planet. Indians are basically a mixed people with 3 major ancestral groups, just that the mixing happened between 2000 to 3000 years before European takeover of Americas It frustrates me so much since the average American thinks ALL Indians look like Mindy Kaling or Aziz Ansari.
