X5/Brad was living on the Sacred Timeline, so that would not get destroyed. Sylvie was living on a Branched Timelime so that would have gotten destroyed, but it looks like that timeline was not destroyed.

Yeah there were a few base branches left. They didn’t get them all but they got a lot. I assume many of them then go to a spot on the sacred timeline like Brad did, to live out their lives

According to interviews it's been about 8 months since the citadel for Sylvie while it's been days? weeks? for Loki (we got a time jump between ep 1-2 I guess). She has moved on and is trying out what she has always wanted on a branched time-line, a regular boring life. It could be that she has also convinced herself Loki doesn't want to see her, didn't go looking for her. And of course, she doesn't like that he's working for TVA still, alongside Mobius - who, last she saw him, told her he'd burn TVA to the ground. You could argue that what happened with Dox was a result of them not doing that: TVA is still divided and not everyone is ready to accept the reality of what they've been doing. I understand Sylvie's anger, even though it hurts. Loki is also hurting and seems afraid of scaring her off. It made me really sad that he made it all business, not talking about anything personal because that would mean an emotional confrontation. And he had been so desperate to find her, too :( We got Loki's character development last season, this season I think will deal with Sylvie's difficulty in trusting others. X-5 was on the sacred timeline, so his acting career and him would have been safe regardless. Sylvie was on a branched timeline, so her branch was in danger from Dox. They tell us if the current location is branched or not alongside the date and location.

They are making a point to not only list the year of the time travels, but whether or not it is the “Sacred Timeline” or a “Branch Timeline.” X5 felt safe to do his shenanigans because he was on the Sacred Timeline; he knew Gen Dox was only pruning/ bombing the Branch Timelines. Hence why he was so jumpy and keen to leave Sylvie’s McDonalds.

This was a great episode. Loki Season 2's set design is outstanding. This episode's cinematography was excellent. I love how Casey interacts with O.B. After viewing this episode, I was craving McDonald's cuisine. Miss Minutes and Ravonna Renslayer together will be invincible. Loki's interrogation of Brad Wolfe/X-5 was fantastic. Brad Wolfe was an actor who played Zaniac, a serial killer in the comics, but he was finally surpassed by the real Zaniac, a demonic monster from the Dark Dimension. This season, I'd like to learn more about Mobius' life before the TVA kidnaps him. I particularly enjoyed Mobius and Brad Wolfe's talk at the 1982 McDonald's in this episode. X-5 tries to flee after encountering Mobius and Loki, and the God of Mischief demonstrates various legendary skills that Loki has previously employed. Casting duplicates, green magical energy bursts, and other illusions to slow "Brad Wolfe" down. On the other hand, Loki utilizes his shadows to imprison X-5 in an alleyway, a fascinating new power that perfectly compliments the God of Mischief. Loki also says that after his scepter and the Mind Stone failed to corrupt Iron Man's psyche in Avengers, he threw Tony Stark out the window: It wasn't calculated."While walking through London's West End to confront X-5/Brad Wolfe, Loki and Mobius come across numerous movie posters, one of which features a member of Kingo's "family.""Kumail Nunjiani's Eternals hero was last seen leaving his station in the 2021 MCU event, having revealed that during his prolific Bollywood career, he hid his immortality by pretending to be from a long line of identical performers who replaced each other every generation." The Kingo depicted on the billboard was most likely Kingo's "father" in 1977. This season, I'm looking forward to seeing how they handle Victor Timely and other Kang variants. Following the poster for Kingo, another poster for the film Phone Ranger is displayed. Phone Ranger is a very obscure hero in the original comics. Real name A.G Bell (a play on the phone's inventor), Bell was a telephone repairman who discovered alien technology, granting him access to all communication equipment on the planet. While he briefly fought crime as the Phone Ranger, Bell has only appeared three times in the Marvel Comics universe (1985, 2006, and 2019).

I know a lot of viewers will say “Why is it such a big deal, we never met or even saw any of those universes”. But if you’ve seen either of the Spiderverse movies or even Everything, Everywhere, All At Once then you would know that their lives matter just as much as the characters in our universe. Think of it like if Miles Morales or Spider-Gwen were just erased. Or even Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Men were just erased!!! So yeah, this is a very heavy loss, even worse than the Blip. Also Tom Hiddleston in that tuxedo just makes me imagine another universe where Tom became the new James Bond. And god is it great to see Loki be who and what he truly is, not a hero, not a villain, but the freaking GOD OF MISCHIEF!!!!!

Yeaaaaa…..I’m not risking my human life for animated characters in different timeline. Same as the other timeless full of paint (mom), the one where there’s literally nothing but zombies (what if) or the other timelines that’ll kill us first. Very heroic of you though 👍🏾

@@pia.8813same, the heroes on this timeline can barely save itself without screwing up. You also have to realize fans glamorize these heroes to the point where they only see Kangs as the problem when other villains and heroes do the exact same thing.

Brad was living his life on the sacred timeline which wasn't being pruned, just the branches were. That's still trillions of people not just on one planet, but on multiple planets in multiple galaxies.

actually prining a timeline only prunes the items required to reset it. we're shown this in S01E02

According to NewRockstars theres still 800 or so timelines. Only 30% were destroyed. He Who Remains is dead, Sylvie killed him, but since Rensleigher and Ms Minutes could be parts of him, they are working as him. Kang is alive, He Who Remains is a variant of him.

30 percent were destroyed before Sylvie was able to open a gate to Dox's launch platform. More were destroyed while they were fighting. Kang and HWR are both variants of the same person; but not necessarily of each other.

Great reaction. Love your channel. With regards to Loki moving back and forth in the first episode, he was moving back and forward in time, not space. As a result, he wound up in the same place at a different time, whether the past or the future. What surprises me is that no one seems to be upset with Sylvie. It's her fault that those branches were in existence in the first place. It's her fault that the temporal loom is overloaded with branch realities.

The second is something no one could have foreseen. Remember how season 1 ended: Mobius and B-15 didn't know what happened with Loki and Sylvie until the branches started appearing. Mobius says there's not turning back and B-15 answers: who said anything about turning back? This was always the desired outcome, it is HWR that is a dangerous side effect. Dox and her mission aka the tragedy in this episode had nothing to do with Sylvie and everything to do with how the TVA is divided within. Some people don't want things to change. So Sylvie is right when she says TVA is the problem (right now) but I personally think it CAN be changed. It just won't be easy.

@@NoctilucaBloom"no one could have foreseen"? He who remains explained to them what would happen if they kill him. The chaos, the war that is gonna come. Sylvie was just full of rage and revenge. But even now she is not listening and is blaming Loki for everything. She doesn't seem to be able of self-reflection and it's annoying. Everything happening right now is her fault and she should take responsibility for that.
