I love the little moments they let breath in Loki... you saw it a bit in the first season but here you see alot, like the moments after Mobius' freakout where they talked about who was following who, or when Casey and OB were fanboying or the McDonalds discussion. I also love the dynamic between Loki and Mobius. I truly believe he is the first person who acknowledges but overlooks Loki's faults and truly cares for him and in return Loki seems to genuinely care for him back. The friendship is something Loki has needed for a long time and it seems like Mobius has too.

I was a little stunned at the time gap between episodes, but honestly... This episode was phenomenal. One of my favorite episodes of the entire show, if not my absolute favorite. And I actually think the time gap helps make the end of episode hit even harder. X5 is now Brad Woulfe and has abandoned his post, and the rest of the TVA simply thinks Sylvie is in danger and is trying to find her. But then the revelation of why X5 left his post, and Sylvie is just one of countless quadrillions of lives in danger, only to then actually "see" those lives being erased is such an impactful moment.
@emosam07 Жыл бұрын
I don't think there was MUCH of a time jump, but that X-5 separated and spent time in the past until he pinged the TVA with his tempad and they went and found him?? I was honestly quite confused for a bit haha

I will say, unless I missed something, I don't think there is necessarily a huge time jump for the main characters of this episode. My interpretation was that it picks right back up after the first episode for Loki and Mobius, but not for Brad. Keep in mind that this is the TIME Variance Authority. Brad goes missing on the timeline at a certain point, and only after a few weeks, months, or years on that timeline does his "signal" pop back up, so Loki and Mobius travel to the later point in time, where Brad has experienced the passing of weeks, months, or years, but Loki and Mobius have only experienced minutes, hours, or days. I suspect we're in for a lot more bizarre temporal mechanics that are going to make the story pacing a bit odd.

I liked the parallel this episode 2 had to the episode 2 of season 1 In season 1 episode 2 ended with Sylvie bombing the timeline creating new ones and all tva agents rush to prune the timelines. I loved this episode! Everything about it felt so perfect. Every scene and moment was amazing! I thought that the writing was incredible, the acting was amazing, and the tone was perfect. All throughout this episode I was curious about what was going to happen next and it just had me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire episode. This shows story already has me fully invested and interested to learn more about this shows plot as it unfolds. And I was amazed at just how incredible the music for this episode was, I’m so glad that they brought Natalie Holt back to do this show’s score. And each actor was giving a fantastic performance and I felt like they were all doing an amazing job for these characters. They all felt like they were fully dedicate and invested to their character and their role. And I loved the set design for this episode, I always really liked the style of the sets this show used especially in the TVA, so getting to see it again through new and previously visited locations in the TVA was so great to me. I loved getting to see Loki using various forms of his magic. It was great to see him acting a little more like a villain again, and I just really liked how creative he got with his illusions, especially with the shadows. I also really liked both of the B-15 interrogation scenes. In the first one I just really liked the dialogue and discussions between all the characters and the way B-15 was able to get under both Loki and Mobius’ skin. And for the second interrogation scene I liked how sinister Loki was through his actions and dialogue. Also I really liked the design and and look of the Time Box, I think they did a really good job at making it feel claustrophobic. And I loved the scene where Loki and Mobius talk about what his real life could have been. I think this scene was done so well, it was emotional and really touching, you could just feel how conflicted Mobius was in this moment. I also just really liked that Mobius’ reason for fearing to see his real life isn’t because he’s afraid that it was bad, but because he’s afraid that it could have been good and he’s missing out on it. Also I was really glad to see that they’re giving Casey more to do and starting to make him more of a character. I think that Casey is such a fun/funny character and he was a great part of season one so I’m happy that it appears that he will start to become more of a part of the main cast and be more involved in the story. And I loved how he wanted O.B.’s signature, that was both really fun and heartwarming. And getting to see Sylvie more prominently in this episode was really great. I liked getting to see her be a big part of this episode and getting to see her interact with Loki again was amazing. I can’t wait to see how her current story unfolds and how it will tie back into the story following Loki and Mobius with the TVA. I also loved getting to see everyone’s reactions to all of those branches being pruned. Seeing all of the characters expressions of shock, horror and sadness really helped sell this moment. I can’t wait to see where the end of this episode will lead into next week’s episode. I am very curious to see how this episodes events will lead into next week’s episode and how it will impact the future of this show and its continuing story. I am really loving everything about this new season so far and I can’t wait to see where this story and all the characters involved will go next. I cannot wait for next week’s episode.

But I think there's even more to this we will see unveil later in the episodes to come. Hope that made sense!

Oh man, back in the day of the beef tallow fried apple pies. I'm not even quite old enough to remember that, though they were served when I was a little kid. I just remember them being way crispier then they are now.

The first time I heard that very specific voice I instantly matched it with the face and saw shortstop from Indiana Jones

Seeing who all these people were before they were taken reminds me of the flashbacks on LOST and we got to see their original lives off island before the plane crashed.

Gotta love the amount of handheld camerawork in this episode. Feels more disorienting, i think someone said it last episode but it's worth saying again.

They always have strong and intense dialogues, which surpass their creativity in a great way.💚💚 And in the part where Mobius and Loki talk about what. "If it is better to have a life on TV than to return to a pathetic life with no reason to exist." It makes sense to me. Because, it's better to be disarmed and somewhat happy. Than going back to a life that wasn't worth it.😒

I can admit that I didn't love this episode as much as I did for the first but what i will say is IF they were willing to sacrifice their chance to make a near perfect follow up episode to the AMAZING pilot by cramming so much and rushing over a couple of things then its gonna get paid off so well when the other 4 episodes benefit from having lots of plot points already checked off the list. Plus, i think its pretty obvious next ep is a loki and Sylvie centred episode. S2 already has lots of similarities to the way S1 episodes played out.

Whole episode was designed to give Team Green more time to locate Miss Minutes and Renslayer , and or open the blast doors and fix the timeloom before it breaks down. It’s sad that so many branches were destroyed but it slows down the incoming temporal meltdown event . Clever
