Majestic Mountains of Maine, the Sandy River and Rangeley Lake Narrow Gauge Railroad

Visiting Maine was a dream come true for me. I was captivated by the grandeur of the lighthouses dotting the seashore, as well as the endless mountain vistas that stretched into the horizon. My friend Sandy graciously invited me to spend a couple of days with her, and she showed me all the hidden gems in her neck of the woods. We had such a wonderful time exploring and even though Blue decided to sit this one out. Jazzi, however, was all in, and her energy made every moment even more special. You will hear us babbling in the background but may not understand what we are saying and that is OK, because we were just enjoying each other's company. From coastal walks to scenic overlooks, every experience was a delightful reminder of why I’ve always wanted to visit this beautiful state.

i think the mountains you are looking at from left to right are Saddleback, Little Saddleback, Farmer, and Mt. Abraham, the peak way off to the right is Sugarloaf Ski area......i have to suffer through looking at these everyday too.. i can see them from 30 miles away though, enjoy your trips and endeavors...

You know your mountains of Maine for sure. I live in the foothills of Pennsylvania and just 30 miles from me in Ohio the land is flat and boring. I recently went to Forest County, PA where the mountains get bigger but to see mountains this size I need to go further east. Maine did not disappoint at all with the different terrains and I will return for more. Thank you so much for watching.
