Majherhat মেট্রো স্টেশন চালু হয়ে গেলে নতুন Electronic Interlocking সিস্টেম দিয়ে মেট্রো চলবে. এতে করে up ও down দুটো দিকেই আলাদা ভাবে মেট্রো চলতে পারে. অর্থাৎ north south মেট্রোর মতো 5 min অন্তর চলতে পারে. কিন্তু সমস্যা টা হল এই যে, কলকাতা মেট্রোর হাতে মেট্রো রেক নেই. Orange লাইন ও চালু হবে. কিন্তু পর্যাপ্ত rake নেই. 2028 অবধি অপেক্ষা করতেই হবে নতুন rake আসতে. চাইনিজ হোক বা ICF.

such callous and irresponsible attitude from the state govt... why can't they realise that if u improve the city's connectivity, growth rate will automatically improve as well?? besides, having a robust metro network will improve the city's prestige as well.. just look at Delhi... because of land issues, the stretch till Esplanade is not even under construction till now, and as long as this line remains cut off from other metro routes, this will remain a financial burden on the taxpayers... no amount of ER connectivity will improve ridership unless Phase 3 is completed...
