This makes me miss my dad so much..he bought a brand new Massey Furgerson in the early 70s and I remember just how the tires and paint smelled..they gave him a miniature replica tractor along with the sale..my dad gave it to me..I have no idea what happened to it..he sold his tractor 1980..he was my best friend and the nicest man I ever knew..in 2004, he got cancer and suffered and died on Fathers Day..I have never found peace with his death..we raised two black labs from puppies and we carried on after my dad died..and now they are gone to..I hope to see them again when my time here is done...I liked the music you added..sounds Celtic.

You gotta love that Majic paint. I'm trying to finish up my international cub cadet before grass cutting season. But "24" hours. Yes I am waiting 24 between coats but like you said it works. It's not automotive paint and if your patient it will look great. I'm starting the tins finally next week and I think I'll wait the 7 days and use clear on those to really make it pop. I tell everybody when asked how I get the paint looking so good, PREP and PATIENCE.

You did an amazing job on your 841. I have an 8n and I love it. The man who owned it before me restored it ten years ago and the paint on it is still in amazing shape. Plus he worked at the Ford plant and built the ford 8n tractor, so I know he did a good job on it.

Finally someone actually use the Majic reducer. Very informative. You still do this where do I get the harderner I went to TS they shelves it, 30 miles from my home. First thing I learn to paint car on is a 🚜 tractor. Guess I have to order online and pickup at store.

Have a 641 Workmaster that I will be working on. Im thinking about sodablasting the whole thing to bare metal. Who ever put the paint on last time I think put it on with a brush as theres air bubbles in the paint and I just dont think shooting fresh paint will do it justice. Im not too sure how I will go about my 3000 diesel though, the front grill shell is beat up fairly badly and every replacement I found said I would have to lose the orignal two piece grill. Might hit up ebay on that, but thanks for taking the time of creating this video without it I would have never thought about trying Majic paint.

Hello, I am getting ready to use this paint on a trailer. I bought the red oxid primer and ford blue paint. My question is does the primer stop further rusting. Once you have knocked all the loose rust off the metal? Will it seal and stop further rusting? Thank you

Did you sand the red paint between coats, or did you just apply the next coat right over it? Also, did you sand the primer before paint, or can you just apply over it too? You also mentioned to me before that you'll be repainting your 4500 too. I have a 4400, but the only industrial style yellow color I can find is their School Bus Yellow. Is that what you plan on using?

I'm refinishing a very similar tractor- a 1956 model 650. I've done the chassis already and now I'm trying to decide on a paint/primer for the sheet metal. My initial thought was exactly what you used, but I'm considering a better primer like epoxy or urethane. From your video, I assume you feel the Majic primer does fine- and I already have it, so...

Hi their beautiful tractor you have. I have a 1951 ford 8n 4 cylinder gas tractor. I bought the tractor from my neighbor, it runs and drives great no problems. but the only problem I am having is the 3 point hitch not staying in the up position. while driving the tractor, their is a heavy box scrapper attached to it, when I put the tractor in gear and drive it, with the hydraulic lever raised in the up position, the implement goes down to the ground. what could this be? thank you.

That stuff is awful. It is a pain in the butt to use. It consumes more time to mess with than other paint. I have never used a paint this bad. I Just thought that a lot of unskilled people did not read the instruction. I read the more than once an the stuff still sucks. It is so bad I will not buy anything that is private labeled for Tractor Supply
