This was a dope battle and a GREAT precursor to their meet up at BattleBad. Alex is the definition of consistent flow, he's a slow cooker who chooses his moments VERY decisively. One of the only times that i've seen him off of his game was against Bouboo years ago. Majid was great here, but he seemed to be overly concerned with antagonizing Alex and he was kinda all over the place in the last two rounds (especially the last round). Alex was poised, calculated, and on target for EVERY round. He didn't waver and he hit his beatkills with pinpoint precision. I understand the judges decision fully here.

@@ev1lp1nk to be fair, I got to know Majid personally as my friend helped him a bit with admin stuff and he takes his dance seriously but he doesn't have a big ego, he had just won Just Debout that year but was pretty down-to earth, his family keeps him grouded.

Waydi and Bouboo both are on his level (or higher) IMO. Waydi has surgical musicality and Bouboo has groundwork that is on the same level as Alex, so they both can stand a chance IMO. Outside of that it's tough. I remember when he lost to Joseph Go a few years back, it seems he's leveled up TREMENDOUSLY since then (which is hard to fathom).

It just feels like Alex doesn’t waste a single step in executing moves. He also has this one man band type style where his heads doing something, legs doing something, arms, and torso, all different and yet all on beat. Paired with that god mode energy it really hard to not like. Majid has been one of my favorite dancers to watch since discovering him like a decade ago and he never ceases to amaze with his unique movements
