That's interesting. My guess was that Vegeta's Final Explosion was so intense that the heat turned him into an ash statue of himself. It explained why his body flaked off easily by the wind.

Yeah so my theory is, vegeta didnt just use ki like he normally does. He used literal life energy. Its the same technique he used to beat topo, topo used hakai which is death energy, anything it touches dies or doesn't exist. Vegeta countered that with his own life energy to cover his hands and punch through. Its why when he fought topo he used final explosion and not final flash to beat the giant hakai. When he did this technique he was still mastering it. Which makes you think. 1st he was so prepared to beat goku he was willing to die. Second, he kept practising it even after this during super its probably why he kept blowing up the hyperbolic time chamber. But yeah just my theory.
