Major announcement! The Potters House Book! it's finally here after a year of working on it!

Mary had one wish, that I do something with her lost poetry and her art... after a year of digging, sorting filing and snapping pictures we finally have a book out on amazon!

OMG chills...... I have watched the entire series and I just want to cry right now. Mary's life touched so many lives, mine included and I am so excited to see this artist brought back from obscurity. She died way too young. Am still sad she could not experience the house post-renovation. She would have loved it.

I been watching all the Potter’s house episodes too, Alex and family and his friends which each person has skills working on different tasks that Alex needed help with throughout the home and outside for clean out and clean up, then restoring Mary’s beloved home from her hoarding, but before her hoarding, she sure was amazing with her many dressing styles with beautiful expensive taste with her clothes of many styles, her furniture, antiques throughout her inside her home, her beautiful pottery, poems and her drawings, paintings. Bless her soul on earth. Thanks Alex again too care so much for Mary and her legacy.

There's nothing I love more than hearing older peoples stories about their own lives. My Nan always used to say things like 'I'm old and I've had my time now' as if that was just it, so I'd always ask her to tell me all of her memories and stories about her own time. It's a lovely thought that when we're one day in that position, there'll always be someone interested in what you've lived. I bet Mary would be so happy knowing all these people are interested even now.

I feel the same way. I was very close to my grandmother and I cherish the memories of her life thru the stories that she told me. I still tell her stories to my children who are grown now so her memories will live on thru me. Just like Mary will live on thru these videos and the book. Well done.

I'm sitting hear with tears streaming down my face. Alex you were able to take us to meet Mary and listen to how she created the beautiful work she did. As others have said the method of using an open fire for the pottery is very difficult and usually very few pieces survive but Mary was able to master the art of doing it that way. She had some very unique pieces and the fact that she mixed her own clay and glazes made it just that much more amazing. I think you were meant to save Mary's house and all are pottery and poems without you all of this would have been lost forever and Mary would have never received the recognition that you have been able to give her. I really think she was hanging on to life at 102 because she said she was so upset about the condition of the house. You were able to put her mind to rest and reassured her that her poems and poetry had been saved and the house was once more beautiful again. It's kind of sad she never got to see it in person but you said you showed her pictures. You had planned to take her on Saturday but she passed away on the Wednesday before she was to go see the house. The one thing you did get to do is fulfill her last request not in the way that she wanted to but you gave her a ride in the the ambulance to her final resting place. It was so amazing that you were allowed to turn on the lights and Sirens as you passed the house the way the wind was blowing the trees it made it look like they were waving goodbye to her. I am so blessed to be able to be one of the subscribers to your KZbin Channel and be with you and your family and the people you introduced us to like Josh, Jakota, Haus, Austin, Patrick and others that were able to bring Mary's house back to life and have a family make it a home again. It's just amazing the difference in 6 months. I still can't believe you and Melissa's dad were working in -40°C with no heat in the house. Who could've predicted you started out cleaning out a house and ended it up fulfilling your dream of a lifetime owning the antique drug store. Then even changing two peoples lives to have a nice home due to you being such a caring and giving person. I was unable to get one of Mary's pieces but I ordered the book. I want to thank you and all that worked on it to make it possible to be able to have these beautiful memories of Mary to keep her legacy alive and give her the recognition she deserves for her amazing pottery and her beautiful poems. I also want to thank Josh for the beautiful painting using some of her glazes in the painting. I like how he said he had a connection to her that they both made their art with their hands. Sorry for writing so much but I have so many feelings flowing out with my tears. I pray to God that you and all around you stay safe from this Coronavirus. Hopefully they will be able to stop this soon and life can go back to normal I will being say prayers for that too.

This is absolutely gorgeous, such a lovely way to immortalise an artist. I shudder to think what would have happened if some house flipper would've bought it, would have just gutted the place I imagine; all of that treasure, an irreplaceable record of a life would have been lost. But due to yours, the crew and your families work that isn't the case. The way the work was sold and proceeds donated, pieces donated, sorting the personal sentimental items out for the family. Everything about this entire story has been handled with such class.

I asked for a copy for my birthday, and couldn't wait for a response. (My birthday is in Dec.) I struggle wit my own issues of hoarding, and watching this story unfold gives me hope (there is a lump in my throat even admitting that). You were so gracious with Mary.
