I have been trying to figure out why it is so easy to understand discussions and I’ve come up with a couple of reasons one you’re calling voice makes you pay attention and be an explanation as to call and why to do something, not just do this and repeat after me there is actually some thought asking to be utilized. I’ve had to perform a lot of instruction on my field of expertise so I am critical of how I also have to perceive information works for me and it’s very comfortable laid-back. Several other instructors seem to want to impress students on what they know and do not consider the student Process

Hi Jared, You're playing and your understanding of music theory is amazing and astonishing. I have a question. Why is it that diatonic scales use ionian as the one cord which is the major of course, but pentatonic position one is the minor pentatonic. Pentatonic. Why don't they just use the second form of the pentatonic scale and called that position one since it correlates with Ionian . It seems counterintuitive to me that the Pentatonix are listed with the minor pentatonic first. It seems that pentatonic theory should start on major pentatonic just like diatonic starts with the major one. Is there any answer to this question?

Question, When I play from one to one, it still feels like it wants to resolve on the six, as if I'm playing minor pentatonic. Anyone know why?

Thanks for the video and very thorough explanation but am a little confused about blues scales generally. This sounded like you weren’t doing a root to root scale at all but instead were doing a minor blues scale in A minor but starting in 1st inversion (ie starting on a C). Are there several different versions of the minor and major blues scale then?

Thanks for asking. You're correct. this is the major blues scale. Here's the video for the minor blues scale: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l6WlfKlrgpeXmacsi=k6bdPSiYf0cmi5VS
