Major Changes Hit Sunny Beach as Iglika Bar Faces Demolition!

I wasn't aware the Iglika was part of a hotel. On towards the Hrizantema it looked like the back side of abandoned flats, shabby and unkept. It was a good place for a slash if I happened to be in need. REALLY professional touch at 6:00 where Susan casually strolls in for a comment from the left then effortlessly carries on. I've never seen anyone do that before now. Well done. I know this will bore most of your subscribers but the lady running the bicycle rental at the corner off the Bavaro speaks Norwegian. She and her husband (both of them Bulgarians) live in Norway all winter and only come back for the tourist season. I (being from Sweden) always have a chat and rent a bike from her. Your videos make me feel at home which is odd because I’ve never actually lived in Sunny Beach. Wouldn’t I love to! ❤

James was the barman for the hotel originally and took over the bar from them. The bar is on hotel land that has been sold now. We have bikes but it's hard work as non electric and being old. I will look at the shop sometime when passing. We live outside the resort with a functioning village and all year neighbours. We lived a winter in the resort 3 apartments in 63 occupied, very quiet.

It's important that it changes, refreshes and you look forward to new things. Iglika was rented as James was the hotel barman and took over the bar many years ago. Spent many nights in there over the years.

I love Sunny Beach! I came last September and it was the best holiday ever so much so I’m coming back again this September. Great food, beautiful beach, great restaurants and lovely people. Can’t wait to be back in September

It has been weird. Posts on Facebook with hate against anyone with slightest criticism of the bar or simply saying they didn't like it. We did not use it in the end but had loved it in previous years, many other places to enjoy in the resort we won't have a problem on a night out. We are here all season again this year so hopefully you will see us about.

Hi Andrew we are due to come this year for the 2nd time ,we are from the UK and last year we could bring English money and change it there for lev but I’m I right in saying we can’t do that this year and we have to bring out euro ? Hope you can let us know thank you.

You can still bring UK cash. However on a charged currency card like wise which I have the rate is much better spending or from bank machines at up to £200 a day no charge. You also know instantly in pounds what you spent

DGV surprised us. Iglika was hanging in with the hotel they rented from going through problems, closure, even short term lease last year etc. it is why they did nothing to it knowing every year could be the last.
