First, I have tremendous respect for Shanahan. But..... every problem that handcuffs the Leafs currently, falls squarely on the shoulders of Shanahan. Period. He should have been relieved of his duties long before now because of this fact. Also, to allow Marner's no move clause to come into effect without attempting a trade, is not forgivable. It has been blatantly obvious for at least two full years that the idea of having all of their cap tied up in a few players will NOT work.

TFC and the Argos do NOT make a profit. Both the Raptors and Leafs turn a major profit. Its about the bottomline.

I think you're confused or stupid. They are all under MLSE, which means the entire company profits. The Argos and TFC may have some sort of internal cap, but they all make a profit because it's the same owners for each.

The more the off-season goes on the less I’m excited for the next season. First time I’ve felt like this since they bought out Grabovski for Clarkson, imo the worst day of leafs management. I’m thinking we’re back at that point but it was last years decision not to trade Marner

Shanahan was a great player, but that does not always transition to being a great manager.He has done some very good things where people dont see, like in modernizing the behind the scenes staff,training,nutrition,psycology, everything a modern team should have, but his errors have been pretty epic also paying Babcock a massive amout to not coach, vetoing trades that should have been made,and allowing some trades to be made that should not have been made, and giving Dubas the preppy weasel too much power....i think a change would probably be a good thing overall.

Shanny's cousin use to cut my hair for year's, when he played in Detroit. Every hair cut I tried to asked her is there anyway possible he could end up on the Leafs. She just use to laugh at me and tell me his wife loves Detroit, it'll never happen. Don't believe he'll be crying in his beer, if the Leafs are that stupid. 😅

If MLSE was going to shake up leafs management, they would have done so the moment they lost game 7. They won’t fire shannahan two months before the start of the regular season. They will most likely give him one more shot. They will now wait until he makes one wrong move or once they get Knocked out in the first round again to fire him.

Look up berubes team analytics. At best his team was 15th, the longer is with a team they fall to 25th. Wrong gm and wrong coach. Treliving sabotaged the leafs chances last season. Had muzzin,murray and klingberg on the LTIR at least 10mill+. A goalie who struggled mightily and did nothing. All Treliving did was give the team a plethora of 3rd pairing dmen playing minutes they shouldn't be and expected a different result. Or wanted them to fail to fire the coach...hmm. leafs fired the 3rd winning coach among active coaches and 10th all time. Leafs wont hit 40 wins with berube and treliving. With how teams in the conference and division improved...chances are and i hope the leafs have their 1st. They dont make the playoffs. Probably all part of the treliving plan. Trade out the core just like Calgary for older players and a couple of late picks. I sense the beginning of the end of mathews playoff window

There’s other people running the power play and penalty kill, no all on the coach, plus he had different players, just wait and see what happens, trust me I look at that stuff too, but all In all Covid screwed the cap up for the leafs and if that never happened we would have had lots of money to fill out the roster, there not getting any better if they lose Marner, I know everyone thinks they know what’s best but the game is a lot of luck also, as long as Berube benches players that don’t show up that will be huge for this team, just wait and see, I’ve been watching since Wendal Clark was drafted in 85 and I feel your pain but all they can do is try something and then change it up if they have too, no one knows for sure , give it a chance, we also wanted Kadri gone and that was a mistake, we lost Hyman which was a mistake, give it a chance that’s all.

​@@Zhannahky yet marner leads the team in playoff points. In fact when they made round 2 once again he lead the team with 14pts. Tavares had 8pts. Marner plays the pp,pk, any line asked and even defense. Who else does that on the leafs? I'll wait.........

Ya which wouldn’t have been a problem if Covid never happened, the cap never went up, they would have had lots of cap and lots of money to fill out the roster, shit happens now they have to deal with the aftermath, Covid hurt the leafs the most, I agree there not playoff players, they need more snot to them which does bug me but who they getting for Marner, we will lose that deal, are hands are tied.

Everyone is expecting the Leafs will make the playoffs but I doubt it because 1. Devils and Re wings will make the playoffs if Leafs lost 5 more game than last season they will miss the playoffs 2. New coach new system won’t equal to better or same results , the forward group won’t match the play of new coach 3. Woll will definitely get hurt it had been the last few years won’t see any different with a grown up man body build

😂 if the leafs lost 5 more game last year they still would’ve been in playoffs ahead of Detroit by 1pt. Leafs D is the best it’s looked in yearssss and it isn’t even remotely close. The new coach bringing in a new style will force them to wear down the other team. you say this as if they lose everything keefe taught or said 😂 Toronto still has elite scoring a new coach isn’t gonna change that.
