You got it wrong, we don't usually blend the two sorghum and maize when we are preparing SADZA unless, in dire situations of shortages, in addition to the former two we have a variety of other grains like finger millet and mhunga (bull rush).

@@raymondwright2985 Tribes do not contain mixes of different tribes and peoples. The Shona are made up of the Ndau, Karanga, Zezuru etc etc. And therefore there are different versions of the Shona language. The Ndebele are made up of the Sotho, Swati, Xhosa, SA Ndebele, Kalanga etc etc. There are also therefore different versions of the Ndebele language. All those versions are influenced by the tribal language of the speakers. All the tribes that are part of those nations still identify as part of their tribe as well as part of the nation. That does not happen in a tribe. That's the difference between the two.

Shona came from the word svina (tsvina) meaning dirt. It was an insult from lobengula. Those tribes are separate but one. Hence why culturally we say tombika doro reManyika, remaNdau etc. Not doro remashona. Shona is equivalent to nigga. But the British can pronounce the v in svina properly so they called it Shona

@@ngatendwedzimba7710 i still dont agree with you my brother. In Botswana we believe Kalanga are the most senior and first inhabitants of Zimbabwe and northrn Botswana and South Africa. In Botswana the great Zimbabwean ruins was occupied by great Kalanga kings and coincidentally thats exactly what Shonas in Zimbabwe believe. secondly every historian will tell you language is the first giveaway. Kalanga was destroyed by Ndebeles when they came and it happens everwhere. Botswana kalanga has a lot of Setswana words and Zimbabwean kalanga has Ndebele. I still maintain Kalangas built zimbabwean ruins and all shonas plus vendas are Kalanga dialects. i was even shocked to hear Zimbabweans grouping Kalangas with Ndebeles. your guys are taught wrong. if you go to Venda areas in South Africa they will tell you there used be an ancient tribe called Kalanga that is extinct now not knowing some remains are there accross the boarder.
