I went back and forth trying to decide which of these 2 to buy. I went with the F22 because I simply won't use the Smith machine that the B52 has. I figured that was the only difference. I'm very happy with the F22. An amazing deal for the price, and one of the easiest racks to put together.

That lower weight capacity of 330 lbs is off putting too on the smith machine. You can do every power lift outside of the raptor and save you $500 too.

These racks remind me of the my rack series from Force USA. A good friend of mine has their G3 rack and it looks like a clone of the B52. If I were to do it all over again I would get one these all in ones. Great review 🏋‍♂️

I had the plm04 model(discontinued shortly after I bought it!!) , it was good at first but the cable in the back kept twisting over and over and over no matter what I did so I'm selling it for 500 on marketplace, buying the raptor F22 and hoping and praying it doesn't have any cable twist issues! I don't need the Smith machine because, it hinders your own use of stability/support muscles and restricts your own natural range of motion. I like free weighting it with squats and incline benching. But, the Smith bars have their use for people who want/like that assist!

$500 pretty good for Facebook!!! And yeah, I had that issue with a Mikolo rack. Drove me nuts!! Didn’t do with the raptor! You should be in good shape! And yeah I do for like mainly rows and occasionally bench but mostly on the outside like you!

@@LukesGarageGym hell yeah! I can't wait till the new one comes in. The row plate is like a foot out on this one which offers so much more range of motion. Comparing to mine which is attached to the machine which means I don't have to have to use my bench pads to put my feet up on which is janky as heck lol

I workout at home I am always interested in equipment. I preferred the straight pull up bar the top rather than the angled the angle to me limits your movement.

Seems like a decent option! The spirit is more durable because its weight capacity is higher on the spotters arms, smith bar, pull up bar etc. If that isn't a huge deal to you, then the SML07 will work!

Cannot recommend these guys. Spent 1500 on the spirit b52. I live in Alaska so I paid to have it barged up here. So I have it halfway out together and they didn't include a piece of the rack. It was a smaller piece but I couldn't move forward without it. I call them up and they refuse to ship it to Alaska. It would fit in a USPS Flat rate box. Customer service agent said they could mail it to the Seattle freight forwarder and I'd have to pay the freight charges which would be like 150$. They absolutely refused to send me the part I needed and then had the balls to offer me 30 dollars credit for my trouble. I literally had a half built 1500 rack and they didn't help me at all. I had to fabricate my own piece and then they offered me 60 dollars for my time. THEY COULD HAVE MAILED ME THE RIGHT PART FOR CHEAPER. this has been an awful experience and I hope you don't have to talk with customer service.because they say they will call you back that day and then 3 days later you might get a call back. BUYER BEWARE

Why can't the pull up bar just be a classic straight bar? With one, all you need is swissies and swivel type grips for alternate grip orientation, and infinite width adjustment. No brainer really. The pul up options on these racks are very limiting, and handles are known to be garbage.

It’s funny you say that because I was just thinking about that because I have my Vesta Rack and use my swissies a ton. I’m with you man. Something I didn’t think about when positing but now I wish I said something.

So to to understand the 2/1 ratio. If I was using 1 pulley and has a 25lb weight on it it would be like pulling 12.5? So I would have to put 50lbs of weight on it to actually pull 25lb?

Hey man quick question with the spirt b52 if I was free weight benching would there be enough room for a spotter to spot me if I was going for a heavy set or would the smith bar be in they way ?

On the B52, I feel like I am going to hit my head on the middle pullup handles when using the dip bars! I have to face backwards. I actually was curious if you could remove the two handles for pull ups and leave the outside ones.

Have you tried to lower the dip bars? I don’t think so. It was all in one piece out of the box.

@@LukesGarageGym Yeah I just don't like my feet hitting or near the ground so my head is in an strange position unless I face away from the machine. I looked at the attachments for the Pull up bars and saw a plastic washer that could be removed but not sure if those handles are welded on or just screwed on. I will probably just continue to dip facing away from the machine. I am about 6-2.
