Just to speak up on the elephant print in general, the Reimagined elephant print is purposely less defiant than previous AJ3 colorways, because it is a part of the term "Reimagined". It is supposed to resemble the old school elephant print which was less defiant than retro pairs. However, that doesn't excuse the inconsistencies.

I have two pairs. I hit on EA with Nike and that pair has darker elephant print with regular smooth leather but overall a good QC pair. That pair was made in China. My second pair is from GOAT , and the box states made in Vietnam. That pair has a more premium leather that is really tumbled and has the lighter elephant print. Anyone else confirm this with the two factories differences?

On my personal pair from the Shock Drop…size 13…. I have 3 flaws. First let me say that my elephant print on both pairs is deep dark lines and looks GOOD. The flaws I have is one toe box has tumbled leather and the other it’s Smooth leather. Second issue is the toe box elephant print has a different “slope” on one shoe. Like where it cuts off its higher and the other shoe where it cuts off its lower. Last issue is that the “Nike Air” logo is SLIGHTLY off center on one shoe. You have to really look at it to catch it but it’s definitely OFF.

The Snkrs app sent me a pair and it looks like two different shoes on toe box elephant print cut. One looks like a 83 and the other looks like a 2,000. For the amount Nike is charging on up charges the quality is below the level of Reps now.

The black elephant print lines on the OG was usually thinner and lighter than the retros today. But even on the OG the elephant print didn't always match or even the same shape. Some things never change

How do you check a pair of shoes purchased online?? In store, sure, who wouldn't do that? That's like going to a restaurant and not checking your food. The point is, no one should have to swap, return or refund anything, especially anything with the name NIKE or Jordan on it. And especially at their price points.

I’m not too worried. I’m just glad I was able to get a pair. I used to work at Nike and people would return Jordans due to glue issues and imperfections. IMO I’d just wear them if I got them for retail.

People who are complaining about the Elephant Print not being “Identical or matching” aren’t Jordan 3 lovers or collectors because you would know they have always been inconsistent. The inconsistency come with dealing with real materials, now if the elephant print is separating from the shoe then yeah that’s a QC Problem.✌🏾

I’m sad to say that out of all the pairs I reviewed in store, they were all seriously flawed. Is it that big of a deal? Yeah. A really big deal. The worst is when the Nike Air on the back is crooked. The elephant print issues I can get over but the logo should NEVER be wrong. These should all go straight to Ross! Basically I think Nike must have known that there were issues but had to move forward because there were too many to recall. To be clear, not being blown out of proportion. 85-90 percent flawed. For a release of this importance this should NEVER happen. Did I get my pair yes, but I was severely disappointed.

When I picked up the 🔥 Red from JD Sports, I asked the staff to take out all pairs with my size. There were 5 pairs in total and I did my own QC check on each pair and I ended up with a pair with the least flaws. Thankfully the staff understood why i did what I did. In Malaysia, the pair retailed at RM919 which is very pricey. 2 years ago, the retail was at RM829 even for the A Ma Maniere 3s. Crazy times

I got the unc 5s from goat and there is glue stains all ever the suede. Like the shoe is pretty much ruined. Im not gonna wear it its that bad. And i didn’t notice until after the 3 day return period so im pretty much just stuck with them. Im pissed. Nike gotta get their shit together. Also keep in mind, with the same QC level, say only 1% bad pairs out of all, if there is only 1,000 pairs in total stock, there will be 10 people complaining about the quality. But when you made 100,000 pairs in total, there will be 1,000 people complaining. That will automatically make people think that 100k pairs QC is trash and that 1,000 pairs QC is premium. But in reality, both batches has the same QC levels which is 1% bad pairs. On top of that, people who have received good pairs won't report it. Only the 1% people who get the bad pairs will complain and make it onto the social media and make people think WOW the QC on those are horrible. That said, like Kris said, do check your pairs if you can.
