As a switch only player I am so excited for the islands with their own item limit and the rotations... Many downplay the Switch but as a vision impaired player, the Switch in handheld mode gives me the chance to play games I otherwise couldn't easily enjoy visually.

We got the Imperial crafting table in Magnolia star path with Mulan! :) It's so nice to see some more crafting table love hitting the star paths.

When I think of Ice in Dreamlight Valley, I first think of Elsa so I hope she'll be getting a new Dreamstyle in the Starpath. Hopefully the dress she wears in Olaf's Frozen Adventure (their Christmas special). It'll be interesting to see what Aladdin & Jasmine's realm looks like since we already have the Palace and Cave Of Wonders on Eternity Isle. Considering how long a wait it's been since Skull Rock was first teased during the Fairy Godmother update, I hope whatever this update brings is a gamechanger like an Underground Biome or Peter Pan teaching us how to fly.

I'm sorry I didn't touch on that, William! It was on my list of things to cover, but I seem to have forgotten it (ironically!) We did get that in-game mail from The Forgotten a couple of months ago talking about playing with someone in Skull Rock-so it does seem all but confirmed that it will be a progression of their storyline!

I think we've gotten a crafting table in the star path before in the Mulan one. I think icy star path looks beautiful so far! I do hope for the Sally dress they include an even better suit. I think the male game player base needs automatic outfit variations for every dress there is in game, and more unisex accessories

Everyone is saying alice is coming to the valley but this only for sure confirms Cheshire cat i can very much see this being an update where Cheshire cat is just found in our vally, posibly been hiding all this time and then in a future uodate he helps us open a realm to fund Alice. The only thing that goes against this at the moment is that it says "friends" instead of "friend" but im still not going to get my hopes up as i dont want to be very disappointed if it is the case that we only get Cheshire cat

I think you have a point that the delay in the skull rock solution, sounds like several changes behind the scenes in what story it would be, after all it takes time lots of time from original concepts and sketches to getting ready to go to part two and who knows what at Disney to change concepts and going back to the treasured the players asked for when other concepts didn't turn as expected... I always felt the developers were wise keeping wording vague when the Forgotten or other villagers talk of skull rock...

You're absolutely right, Dakota! The working theory is that Skull Rock might've been initially destined for Jack Sparrow, but following the JDepp case (however you fall on that) scuppered their plans and they had to change course. That's why the final pillar quest is totally random and thrown in. A lot of players don't even realise that they have that quest outstanding! Let's hope they've given themselves enough time to produce a really nice ending to that story 🥰

As cool as the DLC looks, I’m even more hyped about the free update because of the floating islands and item rotation. It’s my number one and two wants for this game and I never dreamed we’d be getting them so soon. I cannot wait to set Vanellope’s house on an island and never have to see it again. With regards to Maui, (and all villagers with water based homes) do you think they are just making those homes placeable on land, or… how do you envision it working?

I'm totally with you, Jenny! The actual functionality updates we're getting in December are going to be integral for our gameplay, so I can't wait to see how they turn out. I also can't believe we're getting them so soon, either! You know what, the water-based villager homes is a GREAT spot and I can't believe I didn't think to cover it in the video! I actually have no idea 🤔 Perhaps they'll simply just place on the land?! I'm also curious because the teaser they posted before the showcase had Scar's house on its own individual island as well 🤔

8:50 All floating islands should cost 15,000 Dreamlight, Atleast according to the video (it says unlock for 15k below the fast travel table on each island). Unless that changes. Who knows.

I think the second character in alice in wonderland realm is indeed Alice herself. They usually always start off with main character. Why she's paired with Cheshire cat of all characters is because in the movie he is the one that kind guide and lead her through path.makes sense in a way and especially for quest related dynamics. I'm really looking forward to him as im curious how his programming mechanics work. Will he be first character that able appear and hang out in trees like picture hinting at? Very interested in how he works

I'm glad they split up the free update and the DLC, but I wish the free update came first since I'd be able to finish it first by the time the DLC would come out. The way it is now, I'll have to stop playing the DLC to play the new update, and I'm not sure I'll want to! It'll still feel overwhelming at that point, just in a different way. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I hear you, Jessica! I kind of want the free update first just because I want the island NOW 😆 On the plus side, it's just a sally quest and some friendship rewards for Sew Delightful (+ the Star Path) so hopefully it won't take you from the DLC for too long!

@ This is true! The star path will be the biggest time suck (and decorating the islands), but I usually finish the star path in less than a week, and I'll be updating the islands over time, so I'm still happy overall!!

I would hazard a guess that it'll be the same as the full valley?! Considering it's just rendering that "island" 🤔 Although it may be slightly reduced!

@ That would be nice! I figured it would be 1/8 of the entire valley per island because there are 8 biomes, and they said each island will be equivalent in size to each of the current biomes, but you're right about the rendering, so here's hoping!! 🤞🏻

I think it’s because he was the first really big character and he got in the way a lot. Now Beast, Mike and Sully, etc are huge too. I never use them as Hang Out options unless I’m leveling them because, well, they are always in my way 😂

😳🙀😳OMG I will love to move Maui to the floating island but His house must stay in water 💦 Unless they allow the homes in water be able to go on land and I hope they allow it but if not I will leave Maui house in the Big Pawn in the sunlit plateau facing the edge of the map wall and it looks really nice Lol 😂🤣😂
