The joycons are basically a mortise & tenon joint. As long as tbey keep the tolerances tight that connector will see zero stress from normal use.

The only new thing that the leaks didn’t show was that we get the blue and orange colors also in the system and also you can see a little bit of the two colors between the joy-cons 2 and system. 😅

I’ve had the original grey switch for 8 years- just started to get issues with joy con drift. It’s nice we’ve got something to look forward to, and time to save up. 😂 all I’d like is more mii and community interaction with friends.

I did here rumors long ago that Nintendo was trying to make the Switch be a more game only/focused console, but if that was truly the case, then why did they add on KZbin, Crunchyroll & previously both Twitch & PokemonTV

Nintendo gave what their consumer base wants; a new and improved Switch! I can see why some people aren't that super excited with the trailer due to the leaks but I couldn't have asked for a better reveal. People who are depressed really need to get over the snowflake emotionalism LOL. The trailer is exactly what the Switch successor should be! The fact that it is still a Switch and that Nintendo didnt depart from the portable/dock feature but improved along with the physical and digital backward compatibility almost ensures success for this console. It's either Nintendo departs from what made the original Switch successful and you get excited and overwhelmed about the new gimmick but the console fails like the Wii U. Or Nintendo sticks with what made the original Switch successful and improve on it every 5-6 years with the Switch 3, Switch 4, Switch 5 etc and you get underwhelmed and cry like a dog due to the leaks or lack of gimmickry but the console sells even more than the original Switch. The new name 'Nintendo Switch 2', the new screen and joycons and the backwards compatibility is exactly what Nintendo need to ensure success! And marketing for future consoles couldn't be much more easier and effective with 'Switch 3, Switch 4, Switch 5 ect etc! This is exactly what people were hoping for. The numerical way worked for Sony and it'll surely work for Nintendo as well. Nintendo do not want another WIi U failure which these critics obviously want. They want Nintendo to fail! Of course Nintendo will play it safe! Why destroy a proven formula? If it ain't broke DON'T FIX IT!! Nintendo can just focus on the joycons for new gimmickry if possible every 5-6 years to satisfy the entitled few as long as those joycons attaches to the screen. And it isn't the hardware that sells the console. It's the games! And these will just get better and better in every new versions of the Switch! Don't pay much attention to the haters! Just enjoy their incoherent criticisms! Well done Nintendo! And the Switch is just the dream console if you're a physical collector who don't have much space in your home and is always on the go. It's portable/dock feature and size is too hard to resist! Especially now that Nintendo has officially decided to stick with the hybrid feature and will just improve on it is motivation enough to save money and pre-order it! Imagine having a Switch more powerful than a PS5 by the time Switch 3 or 4 comes out! All that visual and technical brilliance in the palm of your hands! Nintendo's got my bank account! Bring it on! 😂👍👏

I have 6 sets of joy-cons and never had any drift issue. I find it odd users seem to have multiple issues. Leads me to say some may be user error.

It’s just bad design. I really didn’t have that much drift either but the fact that that many people are getting it means it’s a faulty product. If you can mess it up that easy there’s an issue. I just hope they go a different route this time

2 big problems for me on the switch 2. 1 If it's not confirmed that their will be an old version on launch I will not be buying it until it releases. I only play handheld and OLED just makes everything pop. 2 the mechanism for the joycons seem to attach in a way that seems like 3rd party attachments hard to make. For example I exclusively use a case that looks basically like a GameCube controller and it's super comfy. It seamlessly slides in and I don't see how this company would make a periphery for it along the same style. If anyone is interested it's brand is Retroflag. But idk we'll see.
