If this car has anymore issues it might be time to sell and be done with Mercedes for a while...also does it seem normal for a dealership to test drive a car for 60 miles to trouble shoot a coolant issue? Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Win custom bikes! www.patreon.com/campisicustoms

Don't buy a Mercedes, for many years now build quality has been garbage!
@WHERESSSАй бұрын
The cooling system is an issue on these 4.0 V8 mercedes, 63, 560, 580 whatever. 1 common issue is the thermostat staying stuck wide open, leaving the coolant and oil to be pegged at 160 degrees. The oil never warms up enough to do its job properly. This leads to the common camshaft adjuster issue. This can cause misfires. Luckily, if both happen it can be fixed under warranty in one shot. Its an engine out jobs and requires a lot of small parts. The thermostat has been warrantied to 10 years on all of these engines. The camshaft adjuster, not so. Also the aux radiators are prone to leaks and it does not happen from physical damage such as debris hitting them. Its just poor quality. Another common cooling system issue although this one is model dependent is the metal is weak and will puncture VERY easily on the radiator in the middle thats facing the front. If you're doing 100mph and a tiny rock makes its way through the lower grill and hits your radiator, say good bye to it. It will drain the auxilary coolant tank for the turbos and transmission. Better get that fixed asap. That one won't be covered under warranty, but with a reliable indy shop you can get it done for about $13-1500. I would DEFINITELY go aftermarket with the radiator if the OEM one breaks. The OEM ones are garbage.

Thermostat, oil pressure and engine mounts (less than 50K on the clock) are the three most common issues. Unfortunately, the oil pressure can blow out multiple seals if not caught on time. All three need engine down. Search you tube for 'common problems with M278'

Welcome to the world of MBZ! We have 2 late models. 2023 and 2024. Both spend an enormous time in the shop and must be on trickle chargers if not driven for 48 hours. Evidently, the cars draw power from the key fobs if not stored in a Faraday bag. Creates issues such as low battery status, and issues with the informatics screen. I'm glad they are leased.

16:12 It's Cristina's fault. If she left the Key Fob in her bag and closed the door with her outside and the Key Fob inside the car, the Car sensor's don't know this. The Car Sensor's think the driver is now inside the car because the Key Fob is inside the car.. Shouldn't close the door when the Key Fob is inside and you are still outside.
@drdizzy8882 ай бұрын
Old tech here. Having extensive test drives on a vehicle that keeps on coming back to the shop is very normal and quiet frankly you should be thankful they did put some miles on the car. Typically a more experienced tech touches the vehicles that continue having issues. Pre and post repair typically a shop foreman would drive the car himself/herself to make sure the issue is actually there and the owners aren't simply confused due to the lack of knowledge. You mentioned this yourself, an engine for this vehicle is approximately 30k (I'm not sure if it is that much but it's expensive). The shop will do whatever it takes to ensure their customers are happy and testing/test driving is one of those things.

Yeah been there. I mean that's the "price to pay" to have these super high tech cars with lots of electronic. The more electronics, the more systems better the comfort and commodity but also the risk of failures increases. And this affects all cars, less luxury ones but they're still prone to it. Even Bentleys and Rolls get some problems from time to time. I just hope your car isn't what we call a "rotten orange" and sorry for the name but it's what people that worked in car production factories call it. It means a car which was made during the last day of production (or the first day after the weekend), the last hours of a shift before the weekend, workers are like eager to go away and sometimes don't pay attention to things and later the cars will give problems that "never end". First this, then that etc and owners have to sell them to get rid of it. Hope that's not the case, best of luck guys, love your videos.

Before they started adding computer after computer to stay in line with emissions Mercedes made fabulous automobiles. Everyone I know that’s had anything but a C class has had major problems with them. These days no car manufacturer is safe. Even Toyota & Honda are having problems. From what you’re saying it sounds like computer HARDWARE problem (multiple unrelated problems with random stuff). Since it’s the hardware they will never admit it. I worked in the automotive industry for 25 years and seen it many times. Volkswagens have been notorious for these exact problems for the last 20 years & it’s a computer hardware problem. They can’t admit it bc it’ll sink the company in recalls.

1 Some of the stuff with the Benz is on Mercedes and some of it is on the guys working on it. I appreciate you not wanting to out the dealership but man that's a lot of problems. Does PA have the "Lemon Law"? 2 Despite their claims the Germain car manufacturers (Audi, BMW and Mercedes) have the most complaints from their customers according to a study I saw. They look great, sound great and drive great but all those sensors and the pc onboard cause extra headaches. Try something else is my opinion. The guy that said Lexus is on the right track. 3 Ideas for a video...well, w/o divulging too much, I'm a bit baffled by Christina's family. She has a brother in Ireland still and 2 half brothers or step brothers in Cali? Her mom is with her dad now after 20 years of being apart? Why was she not able to come to the USA when her dad did? Anyway guys, thanks for the video. I hope you're both feeling better now. p.s. Teens art work looks great!

Never ever buy a car for more than 30k. Scams. Cars a car

Hey Jaret bro, no pun intended, just get a BMW M3, it's much much cheaper and you and Christina can still have fun on the road. Stay Safe.

I can track where my car has been, speed and breaking on any day in the Toyota app. A tech probably drove it home, you can track where the car has been in the Mercedes app.

lol luckily all of these issues have been covered under warranty so if you are going to get one I'd get a new one

That mechanic shop is shady. Mercedes are quite reliable in the start, the shop probably doesnt know what to do
