My father N K Ranganathan alias Art Ranganna was a close friend of major uncle. My father was the art director for all balachander and major uncle dramas. Major uncle used to call me mappillai. I have gone to his house lot of times. His house was situated at royapettah balaji nagar, Chennai. House name is PADMAM. I fondly remember those days of 70s and 80s. Both my father and myself have traveled a lot with major uncle drama troupe. Mr.Sampath will definitely remember my father. I have some photos of major uncle with my father. His drama troup name is NSN THEATRES. I remember major uncle ambassador car number 9221. He had another ambassador car with number 1229. Old name of alankar theatre is Globe Theatre.

Major sir his uncle thambu(veeraragavan) sir were childhood friend of my father at periyakulam. Major sir had to attend a function near our house at Krishna temple. My father Sankararaman and nageshwaran visit the temple to see major sir. Major sir was speaking over Mike. Seeing my father and nageshwaran sir he called my father Sankar and nagesh signed them to come front exchanged plesantaries. Major sir was very unassuming and mingled freely with all of us.
