I have been advocating for the Yankees to sign Kim for the longest. He is expected to make a full recovery from surgery in April can be had on the cheap. He will make the Yankees more athletic and provide another contact hitter which is much more needed.

Kim would be a good ttrade candidate. Can play basically the entire infield. Good pop in his bat. And can steal bases. Would be a good leadoff hitter after stealing 30 bases last year. First three batters Kim, belly, judge. Not bad.

Good analysis...fielding is under-rated and Kim's versatility would be a bonus. 1B is biggest question...maybe sign ++ fielding (power hitting) Christian Walker or go for a shorter time, cheaper (LH) oldster Carlos Santana, also a good fielder to work with potential power hitting LH bat of Ben Rice. What are your thoughts about 1B?

@SB-mw1bg guys also didn't throw as hard at that time. Bullpen weren't nearly as good. Trust me I'm not a fan of the lack of batting average. But when guys were throwing 93 back then they were hard throwing. Now everyone seems to throw 97. Especially out of the bullpen. And there isn't that underbelly of a bullpen like there was before. Alot harder to hit now then it was then

@SB-mw1bg that's 2 pitchers.. now EVERYONE throws that hard. There's been a ton of great hitters since Brett. Griffey, Jeter, gwynn, arod, bonds, pujols, and a shit ton more. Average fastball velo in 1990-88mph. In 2004, 94mph. That's why hitting is so much harder. Not just simply cuz guys aren't your old school legends u mentioned. Different ballgame.

We have hitters who do we have lol Bellinger he is the only add on offense and taking over for Soto lol we need offense buddy get Santander for LF move Bellinger to 1B and make trade for Aarrez for 2B. his defense is average but better than Torres but gets 200 hits a year with OBP around 400. Santander makes up for sotos homers and Aarrez makes up for his OBP. Late innings bring in Cabrera for defense easy fix

Why would anyone want Ha-Seong Kim ? He's below average, if he's only putting up 40 RBI's a year, then his average must be better than 230. He's not Yankee material.
