Why can’t people just enjoy music? I don’t know why everyone is acting like these convocations haven’t been nothing but entertainment for YEARS, even before these kids were born! The fact that you all are focused on clothing, and the fact that the kids are watching these musicians, is SAD. This is something positive in such a dark world! Look at ALL these black kids staying out of trouble because they ARE in church. Let’s think about that! Last but not least, sound amazing band! I’m proud of all of y’all! #indianaboys
@AaronSmithExperience5 жыл бұрын
Eezzy John Thats the issue. You don’t know their salvation or what they do after the concert. You can’t speak for these kids or their salvation bro. The fact that they are there is great! Let’s start THERE! Because this generation DOESNT WANT TO GO TO CHURCH FOR THAT VERY MINDSET YOU HAVE. How can you even assume anyone’s salvation through ONE video that is at a musical or a concert? I never understood how can someone come up with such huge assumptions with little information “brother”

Is it asking too much to give the musicians some space!!? People are hovering over the drummer, walking behind the keyboard player - even leaning on his back while he’s playing - and are generally just too close as their presence serves no purpose. And for a church that big they really should have a proper stage or at least a demarcation point so that people don’t just wander up or around the band. As for the band, the first few minutes were dope but after that it just got boring as all I could do was notice the lack of space the musicians had.

Average Joe Fear i usually stay out of comments 🤭 but if you know them, you’d know how humble they are concerning their gifts. Not to mention, they play under the anointing. I’m not sure if this was a concert or not but they def use their gifts to worship. And if service gets crazy, they’ll stop and get theirs outside of the instruments. Rarely do they record themselves...it’s usually always people recording them & posting them/tagging them as you see in the video above. I just believe it’s impossible to make that sort of bias off of a 15 minute clip. Blessings.❤️

@@muggztv Lacy comer didn't even do too much, that's why it got boring. The whole band played in formation
@cuejay5 жыл бұрын
Mark Langston. This was not at church. It was in hotel banquet hall during the COGIC Holy Convocation. Plus, most of the people gathered around are part of the music department (or at least musicians). We have bond and camaraderie such that the "space" you mention is neither necessary or required. In a different setting, sure, I'll give you that, but in this setting with this group, it's all love.
@incredibilistic5 жыл бұрын
@@cuejay - I lean more toward decency and order and in my eyes anyone that shouldn't be on stage (not that these guys had a stage) should find a seat. Also, I doubt "most" of those people are in the music department and even if they were what purpose do they serve sitting on the same bench as the organ player, leaning on the back of the keyboard player or standing within inches of the drummer? Frankly, I question anyone that considers themselves a director or part of a music department that would allow people to roam around and hang onto/lean against the instruments. I counted several people leaning on the organ and even more people crowding the Leslie. If you want the instruments to be heard by everyone from every corner of a banquet hall you don't want a horde of bodies hovering around the instruments as it will mute and deaden the sound. There's also no shield for the drummer to prevent mic feedback or leakage into other instruments' mics nor a mic over the drummer to capture the cymbals. And for a room that big I can't imagine anyone other than those standing directly in front of the band hearing them on the other side of the room. But I digress. If the musicians are comfortable I suppose that's all that matters. Me, I see a mob pushing the musicians into a corner where they have no room to use their gifts. Again, that's my personal opinion and having worked for and played for churches that always segments the band, no matter the setting, it's unusual to see such a scene where people appear to be swallowing the band whole.
