That is a massive improvement over the original model. The modified suspension height is closer to the prototype and the wheels and new paint look great. You have really done justice to this classic car. Thanks for sharing this.

Super clean build Danny. Great color choice and the lowering the axels was definitely needed. Your painting details in the grille and turn markers were skillfully done as well.

Beautiful paint Danny, great colour choice, and what a difference a decent set of wheels makes. I 'm not a fan of the tinted windows on so many diecasts but , for once, these actually suit the Corvette. 😁 Hard to believe it's the same car. 👍👌😁

Bonza renno, mate! Lichen the metallic blue. Brings back fond memories of the time grannysnail flipped her 'vette in a high-speed chase trying to dodge a Mann Act beef. Good times... Speaking of - you really dodged a bullet in having that crack center on the rear view mirror. Looks like it belonged there...

great job I had 2 like that when I was a kid. I had made a K2000 with one and a KAAR by scraping the paint from the bumpers on the other .... back to the 80's

After your treatment looks that can't be that same Majorette casting, looks so much better slammed in that beautiful colour. Just perfect wheels 😎 Like how these older Majorettes are constructed and those metal-bases are nice too but wheels and ride-height isn't so good on these Majorettes.

John Kelley previously commented on how this is a massive improvement over the original.....indeed! I love Danny's custom work, and his eye for models with potential for improvement. The casting was always on the wide and largish-scale side, but the wide wheels made it look as wide as long (almost...). I always wondered how this could be improved and even considered the new in blister models "a disaster" in terms of the final product that reached the store pegs in the 1980s and 1990s. I always thought that Corgi did the definitive '84 Corvette, and still love that casting. That being said, this video satisfies my curiousity of "what if" for customized improvements to this model.

I still have one of these laying around somewhere, it was one of my favorites as kid. It just has different decals and something. Only thing i don't like in this how you tucked the wheels so in, could have used a better stance but overall very pretty work!

Pretty cool resto. Removing those ugly wheels help a lot. They're only good on F1 type vehicle. A little too low for me personally, but as it's your car, it's your tastes too. I have one of those, I'll try to remember how you fixed yours when I'll get to fix it.
