I think it looks great! Removing the black paint and adding new wheels makes it look so much nicer looking. Thanks for sharing this.

Wow. What a superb job cleaning up that windscreen piece. Well, a superb job on the whole thing really in my opinion! Hey just a thought and definitely not a criticism here - have you ever considered painting (or you could maybe use a fine tipped marker pen) the windscreen wipers and rear view mirror (moulded in relief on the windscreen) on a car like this? I just reckon it would add an extra bit of detail and look quite good. Thank you for making these excellent videos in any case.
@DannysDiecastDisasters5 жыл бұрын
Usually I guess because it is so fiddly and small, easy to mess it up. I usually avoid painting the window frames etc for the same reason. A tiny little slip can really stand out. I try to find a medium between detail and practicality.

The lazier solution for the roof thing: cover the entire roof with a thin layer of the same putty/filler you're using for the hole, sand it down smooth. Thicker at the center/the thing you're covering, thinner towards the edges. If you were to cut the car in the middle, either front to back or side to side, the cross section of this layer would be a shallow arc either way. You want to make the layer rather thin overall, just not all the way down to bare metal. The idea is to use the edges (or in this model's case the front and rear edge and the side ridges) to hide the fact you put anything in there. Explaining this is really more "complicated" than doing it, without detail it is really just "cover all the roof up in a nice shape, hide everything under paint. The extra lazy version also paints the area in a different color, so the seams of the paint job and of the layer of extra material are the same, which hides it as it just look like a design feature.

for majorette .. dont drill the post.. just eat some around. and they pop out easy.. without problem. the only thing after is to glue it together with a small amount of glue and the model will stay close.. i practice that on my majorette models.. some times there is no need for glue to stay together!
