Maka91Productions it happened a few times in the OG games but here I feel like 80% of levels in crash 4 have some crate hidden offscreen and it’s just annoying

ThatRetroDane the levels are hallways, the only “exploring” that can be done is throwing myself into scenery that looks like it might be a platform and probably dying instead of finding a secret. I’m not trying to shit on the game btw I like it a lot I just don’t like how these hidden boxes are handled

That's the kind of thing you DON'T bring back, it was a problem in the old games too. They improved a lot of issues the old games had and vastly improved on the formula but there are some aspects that they didn't fix like the overly cryptic boxes.

I’m so glad I FINALLY figured it out that slide jump at the bonus round (3:10) before looking it up. Because I’m saying to myself there’s LEGIT NO WAY to get that arrow box by itself. & I’m over here slide jumping for the longest & after like my 30th attempted, I magically got on that platform with the TNT boxes. God I had a headache there lmao. I just wanted to see how other people did this part

I actually found it safer to ignore the lion and just jump on the tnt box after landing from the whirling tornado rather than jump through the lily. Love to watch these after I've gotten my relic and see if others did a different approach somewhere.

Discovered something cool! In of the stages I was missing one diamond, ran through without dying,and got the perfect relic! You don't have to take all the diamonds in one run to get it!! 🤩

crazywolf828 Yes. You don’t have to do everything at once. I normally try to get all boxes first (normally I would die over 3 times to restart if I miss it & cant go back) then come back to the level to not die

biggest problem is that for those square platforms, you jump so high that you can no longer see the yellow circle, so you've no clue where you're gonna land.

Thank you for the video again. I went through the level a couple of times and was still short boxes. I missed the hidden ones to the right of the screen with the gem completely. As for the exclamation box top right, I could not see that at all. I always try the levels myself first but I am glad I can refer to these videos when stuck. Cheers.

That bonus level is evil. I'm playing blind and didnt want to have to look up something already, but I genuinely thought it was impossible. They put an arrow crate under the purple crates so I thought I had to somehow break the purple crate without breaking the arrow one. Then I tried a couple other things. Gotta say, its not a very intuitive puzzle solution. Doesnt look like you should be able to make that jump. Seriously though, why did they even bother with that arrow crate?
